How can we save money on our wedding flowers?

Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.
