Our wedding at The Stroudsmoor Country Inn was a dream. We are so happy we chose this venue. Our wedding planner Grace was such a huge help during the whole planning process and she was there the day of to make sure everything went perfectly. The staff were so helpful and kind during the entire wedding weekend. The guests raved over the food, cake, flowers, rooms, etc. Everything was perfect! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary next year!

We got married at Diety a couple months ago but we actually found Deity two years prior to that when I stumbled upon this venue online. Originally we were not even searching for a venue in new york city but when we found Deity - I thought, this is too good to be true and booked a viewing immediately. We were immediately impressed with not only the gorgeous venue but their all in one package, and the flexibility and kindness we received on our initial viewing made us confident we found the right place. Throughout the wedding process Caio always answered my questions and were so open to all our ideas and remained flexible to help us execute a unique and special day. On the day of the wedding and leading up we had the pleasure of working with Anastasia who helped execute everything for us. The day ran so smoothly and Anastasia did not miss a beat - she not only ran the entire show, she always made sure we were taken care of and she quickly became a close friend we trusted that night. The chef James executed a special all vegan menu for us and both us and our guests raved about the food and we are still being told our delicious the vegan meatballs were! The bartenders and servers were also all amazing, the drinks were amazing and the service was quick. The DJ also killed it and was able to keep everyone on the dance floor all night and also went above and beyond with our song requests for the day. We are so beyond happy we got married at Deity and could have not found a better venue that cared so much, was filled with so much detail and care and had the best employees working for them who made it all possible.

The venue itself is truly one-of-a-kind - our guests described it as a fairytale setting, especially with the beautiful winter snow. While dating my now wife, I used to drive past Olio every time I came to Peabody and knew from the start that it would be the home of our future wedding. The time came and we immediately scheduled our tour and fell in love. We knew we needed a special venue since our flower girl is in a wheelchair and Olio shocked us by being not only fully accessible but also so willing to accommodate our needs. Sarah helped us envision the reception and ceremony of our dreams during the walk through and we got straight to work! Olio provided a comprehensive vendor list but also allowed us the ability to bring in a few personal vendors as well making the process simple and also very customizable. Through Sarah we learned about her day of coordination service, Without a Hitch, and they truly lived up to their name! Ashley was an absolute icon and kept us on track through out the planning process and then made the day of entirely effortless for my wife and I. Our families can not speak more highly of the natural beauty of the space and also the amazing team. We can’t recommend Olio highly enough and can’t wait to spread the word about this amazingly LGBTQ and disability friendly venue.

We just had our wedding at Chicago Winery in December and it was absolutely perfect. The space is beautiful and speaks for itself - very little decor needed. It's particularly beautiful for a fall/winter "dinner party" vibe (which is what we were looking for) with the dark wood and dim lights. Chris was our venue coordinator and he was amazing - answering our million questions and helping make the day go exactly as we hoped! The food was also amazing - even better than the tasting which was a delight :) We had SO many guests come up to us raving about the space and the food, which is all you could hope for! Highly highly recommend Chicago Winery!

We had our wedding reception at the Villa this September and it was everything we dreamed of and more! Biggest thanks to Ellen Jones (our event producer) and all the employees at this venue. The Villa is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are amazingly kept and beautiful! Our reception was in the tent and it provided the indoor and outdoor feel we were looking for! The food was absolutely amazing! Our guests absolutely loved all the passed hors d’oeuvres and meals. The Villa made communicating and planning so easy for us! Ellen was an absolute gem. She communicated extremely well from beginning to end and made the whole process very easy. Our wedding reception was somewhat unique (we didn’t do our ceremony at the Villa and we wanted our wedding ceremony video to be played during cocktail hour) but Ellen made sure it was the exact vision I was aiming for. She sent many helpful tips throughout the process. We are forever grateful for Ellen and I hope everyone books with her and the Villa for the most seamless wedding process possible!

Our experience with Walden, Krystle and Ally was amazing. From the very start they made it so easy to plan our dream destination wedding. It was magical. The Walden team is very organized and helped us stay on top of things. They were very accommodating and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. The food and drinks were incredible - everything was delicious and the portions were huge! 95% of our wedding guests do not live in Chicago, including us, and we have had so much feedback from our family and friends about how much they loved the entire wedding. Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. From the very first tour until the last moments of our wedding celebrations, the Boylston Rooms went above and beyond our expectations for a wedding venue. Erin and Myles were phenomenal to work with throughout our planning process, and they made the entire experience seamless. Erin's kindness and compassion as we worked through a last minute family illness was incredible. Myles' preparation for anything and everything helped make us feel calm and supported throughout our day. We also ended our day with Alli who helped ensure our guests were shuttled safely back to the hotel and our belongings were gathered to help us end our day with everything we needed. Our guests RAVED about how beautiful the space was. There aren't enough words to describe how grateful we are to have chosen the Boylston Rooms for our special day. My wedding at The Lake House Inn was everything I wanted and more. I loved how it’s right on the water and surrounded by the state park—it felt private but still easy for everyone to get to from Philly or NYC. The second I saw the ceremony area by the lake, I knew it was the one. Getting ready in the bridal suite with those huge lake views was unreal—best morning ever with my girls. The ballroom was gorgeous for the reception, and the indoor-outdoor cocktail hour space was perfect even when it sprinkled a little. Joe at the bar was awesome, and the food was seriously delicious. Staying overnight with everyone turned it into the best weekend. Marina and Starr were amazing—I didn’t stress about a thing. So happy we picked this place!

Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. We had a fabulous wedding reception at the Donauschwaben German Cultural Center (Lenau Park). Their entire staff—from their awesome coordinator Christine to their banquet captain and bar staff—was so kind, so professional, and most importantly made our guests feel welcome and taken care of. Christine came to every meeting organized and prepared. She understands the details as well as the emotions that go into planning a wedding and was a great part of our support system. She is fair and reasonable—even helped us make a German Hall a little more “Italian” for the bride. We could not have asked for a better partner! As for the venue itself, it was the perfect place to host 300 of our closest friends and family. The space was beautiful, bright and happy. Our guests were comfortably seated at 32 round tables of 8 to 10. The team made all of our décor visions come to life. The outdoor patio was welcoming and comfortable for guests as well. The dance floor is huge! Perfect for an Italian tarantella. I would also say the room is set up well acoustically—with 300 people in the room and music playing, you could still hear the other people at your table. The entryway was also perfect for our receiving line. We were happy to see that guests could enjoy their time—whether they wanted to dance the night away, sit and chat, or just enjoy the night air with family. The food was excellent—seriously excellent. We got so many compliments after the wedding! They have their buffet line down to a science with all of our guests being served in a reasonable amount of time. They also did a great job of meeting the needs of our gluten- and dairy-free guests. That is so hard to do when you are feeding so many people, and even these guests said they enjoyed their meals. Finally, the money we spent on this wedding reception was well worth the value. The food and beverage packages are incredibly fair for the quality and the amount of food your guests will be served. We were also able to add appetizers and some special add-ons at a reasonable rate. The linens are provided by a separate vendor, but even those costs were not too bad, and everything looked beautiful when it was decorated! While there are certain rules the venue must follow and sometimes we needed to negotiate the details, Christine was highly transparent and upfront with us, and always worked with us to find the right solution for our day. After hosting our wedding here, we would absolutely do it again with this space and this team. When it comes to the Donauschwaben, we strongly recommend them for your wedding reception and cannot say enough good things about their level of service!

HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! Everything is in house- catering, bar, table set up, etc. and it is so helpful to not have to worry about those things. They also let you bring in your own decorations or use the ones they have available. The staff is so amazing! Maddison was my venue coordinator who answered all of my questions and was excellent with assisting with the planning and making sure everything was set for our wedding day! I also had an event coordinator who spent the day with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. They did have two weddings that day so having an event coordinator who could speak with the other coordinator was a huge bonus. Also the food- to die for! It was soooo good and was definitely a favorite for my guests. Not to mention the views! Nazareth has so many spots inside and outside that make the most beautiful wedding photos! Overall, my wedding went off without a hitch and I am so glad that I had my wedding at Nazareth Hall!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees.
