She took the time to get to know our story and wove it into the ceremony in such a meaningful way from our high school beginnings and proposal at Wallace Park, to the small things that make our relationship special, like our shared love of travel and beach trips. One of our favorite parts was how she incorporated the Sand Ceremony. It was something we really wanted, and she made it feel so symbolic and unique to us. Her words during that moment, about blending our lives while still honoring who we are as individuals, were so touching. Standing together at that table, surrounded by our loved ones, felt like the perfect representation of our union. She also honored our late grandparents with such grace and respect, bringing them into the ceremony in a way that felt spiritual and comforting. From her guidance for our family during the opening, to the blessing at the end, she brought clarity, presence, and peace to every step. She managed to strike the perfect balance between emotional, thoughtful, and light-hearted (including a little humor that made us and our guests smile!). I wish I could give more stars. Everyone at Lustre Chic is passionate, kind, and they all love what they do which truly shows in their work. They were involved throughout the entire process of wedding planning from day one, made me feel like I was the priority and were so willing to hear any changes. Trials in their beautiful studio were so fun because you really get to know each other and laugh together. Building such a bond with these ladies throughout the planning process was so special to me because come wedding day I was so comfortable, happy and relaxed. I knew I was in the best hands and that my vision would be executed perfectly. My bridesmaids and the mothers were all were so happy and had such a natural look. Lustre Chic will show up to wedding day early with the full team set up and ready to go. I had 11 ladies get hair and makeup done for a 9am start and the whole team was there early, had a timeline down pat and none of us felt rushed at all. They even allowed for time for touch ups if anyone wanted it. Marisa also answers emails immediately no matter the time and always had answers to any questions asked making a stress free process. Marisa, I cannot thank you enough. You are SUCH an incredible makeup artist and woman. Marisa is hard working, accommodating and welcoming, she listened to me and let me explain my vision. I have such sensitive skin and she knew exactly what to do to ensure my skin looked perfect. My skin was a little more dry during my wedding day than my trial and Marisa was so knowledgeable at adapting to my skin type changes. I had so much trust in her abilities that I literally had no stress at all. My makeup didn’t need any touch ups even through some happy tears! My hair and makeup held up all night long. Kena works MAGIC with hair. Actual magic!!!!! I don’t even have words for how amazing my hair was. She let me trial different hairstyles before my wedding and was never stressed about changes. She is so patient and kind. Something I decided to do was hire Kena to stay for my entire wedding day and I think that was one of my favorite experiences that I didn’t even know I needed. Kena stayed with me to ensure my hair and makeup was perfection for every single photo that was taken. Not only did I feel beautiful and confident because of her, but having her uplifting energy with me for wedding day is something I couldn’t imagine my day without. Kena felt like family, we shared so many laughs, happy tears and happy memories. The day truly wouldn’t have been the same without her there. From start to finish Chris and Jessie put us at ease and we are beyond happy with our gorgeous album. From the moment we met them, they were kind and human and disarming. We were both usually nervous and uncomfortable taking pictures but they encouraged us to be ourselves and to just enjoy our special day -promising that it would make the most beautiful album. The Mansion at Tuckahoe was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with multiple beautiful spaces that allowed us to transition seamlessly between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The views of the lake and surrounding nature were breathtaking, and the entire property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. As a wedding planner myself, I had a lot of fun coordinating all the vendors since the Mansion only rents out the space. They provided us with a great list of preferred vendors to choose from, making the planning process a breeze. Overall, the Mansion at Tuckahoe exceeded our expectations and felt like a fairytale setting for our special day.
