Real Wedding DJ's!

Mixology was started in 2017 when owner, Roman Brown, saw a need for more entertaining and energetic wedding DJ's in the Carolinas after moving from New York. Their goal is to help make your wedding night as special and fun as you'd imagined it would be.

Most couples get married in their 20's-30's yet most wedding DJ's are much older than that. Our aim was to gather a group of young, talented and energetic DJ's who would be a better match all around for most couples getting married. People usually hire us because we actually mix music and provide a fun, club-like wedding experience while still keeping the professionalism needed to make the night run smoothly.

    We had the absolute best experience with Mixology and our DJ, Roman Brown! Our wedding planner referred him to us at a time when we were having a really challenging time finding the right DJ, and it truly ended up being the best referral we could have received. From the very first meeting, Roman was incredibly easy to work with—organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The music planning process was super simple and user-friendly thanks to Mixology’s app, which made it easy to upload our song choices, add notes and comments, and even create a do-not-play list. Roman’s setups for the ceremony, dinner, and reception were flawless. The sound quality was excellent throughout the entire day, and the lapel mic for our officiant ensured every word came through clearly during the ceremony. The photobooth and uplighting were also huge hits—our guests loved them, and they really elevated the look and feel of the space throughout our venue. On top of all that, the value of his services was absolutely reasonable and didn’t blow our budget, which we greatly appreciated. Roman kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all night and created such a fun, memorable atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ or a smoother experience.     We had the pleasure of working with Mixology for a recent wedding at Sky Retreat. As venue managers, efficiency and clear communication are paramount to a successful event, and the DJs at Mixology have always exceeded our expectations. Their team was punctual, followed all venue guidelines meticulously, and demonstrated a highly professional standard in both appearance and operations. The setup and breakdown process was seamless, and they managed sound levels expertly throughout the night, ensuring a great experience for guests while respecting our property. They are able to get guests off their feet and onto the dance floor, which is the best quality to have! We highly recommend Mixology to any couple getting married and look forward to having them back at Sky Retreat soon.

    Roman was the best DJ we could have asked for! We wanted a DJ who would mix the songs so that everyone stayed on the dance floor and he definitely delivered on that! Speaking of dance floor the brown and white checkered dance floor was the perfect addition to our day, EVERYONE raved about it and it just added extra class to our wedding aesthetic! It was super easy to make sure our DJ was prepared with all of our song requests and wedding timeline using the app that he provides! I really think I saw everyone on the dance floor the whole night, it was the perfect day! We are so thankful that we chose mixology and Roman to be our wedding DJ!

    Roman was insanely good. I was very picky about who was going to DJ my wedding as I wanted someone who could feel the dance floor and mix the music, did that to a tee. Wouldn’t go with anyone else for an event ever again. Will always be Roman.
