Red Bandana is a 100% gluten-free and other dietary-restriction-friendly bakery in Bethesda MD, just outside of Washington DC. We serve the entire DMV, from Baltimore to Frederick to Moco to Northern VA. We specialize in cakes, pastries, dessert bars, and edible favors in a wide variety of flavors. We have over 10 years and hundreds of wedding cakes in experience and would be honored to be a part of your special day! We offer tasting appointments Tuesday through Saturday--contact us to set up a consultation about your event, or walk in to try our cupcakes, pastries, breads and more at your convenience!

Our focus on gluten-free was inspired by personal motivation: during her time in pastry school, Chef Jaimie's brother was placed on a GFDF diet, which sparked her interest in adapting classic bakery recipes to work without wheat and dairy. After experimenting with gluten-free recipes and selling them at local farmers markets, she recognized the demand for a dedicated gluten-free bake shop free from cross-contamination concerns. Today our work blends artistry and custom recipes rooted in technical pastry education and shaped by a mission to make inclusive food that brings people together.

The Red Bandana Bakery was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Jaimie and her team were friendly, helpful, and completely accommodating throughout the entire process. From the initial tasting, which was a really special way to kick off our wedding planning, to their open communication with our venue on our behalf, they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The quality of their work was stellar - the cake was not only beautiful, but also incredibly delicious and affordable. We will definitely be back to the Red Bandana Bakery for any future events. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

My wife has celiac and finding a baker who could accommodate a gluten allergy wasn't the easiest in our small Western Maryland town. We found Red Bandana at the gluten-free expo at BC Brewing and we're sure glad we did. Jaimie was beyond professional and accommodating to our needs. Not only did we get an absolutely delicious wedding cake for us, but several dozen gluten free cupcakes for our guests. Both us and our guests were blown away by how delicious her baked goods were. She was even able to deliver to us despite us having our wedding over an hour away from her bakery. I can't recommend this place enough. Even if you only have one person attending your wedding with a gluten allergy, you NEED to book Red Bandana. The cupcakes and cake were so good I completely forgot they were gluten free. Worth. Every. Penny!!

The Red Bandana Bakery was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their communication was great, and they were incredibly professional and reliable throughout the process. Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious - Jaimie did an amazing job bringing our vision to life with different layers and flavors just as we had discussed. The delivery and setup were also timely and flawless. We could not be more pleased with the quality of their work and the value they provided for our special day.
