Welcome! My name is Rachel Ness, the founder of Long Stem Disco, am an aesthete who also has a jewelry business. My bird’s eye view is on the micro, where the small things in the world are worthy of deep focus and beautification. My extreme attention to detail is matched well with my expansive definition of beauty, where even in imperfections and decay there is a romance about life’s passing and being in the present moment. I like to work with the natural beauty of my materials while adding my own vibrant color ideas to complete the vision. Also, use every bit of the flower in each of the pieces created.

Authenticity is important to my practice, and that every design is made with intention. The detail-level of each floral piece goes beyond craft. It is Haute floral art, made to not only enhance the beauty of the room but also to capture the essence of the night or the persona of one through petals. The color play we use is not simple, coordinated colors - it is a palette of highlights, shadows, and contrasts that show textures much like the vibe we are representing in any occasion or event.
