When Meb was in the 9th grade, she became an announcer for Varsity basketball. That's when she learned how to work a crowd. She's been a public speaker ever since. She's been an officiant for over 30 years. In 2015, she developed an online presence. She then trained her 2 best friends to officiate as well. Their personalities are different, but they have the same style. Who wouldn't want to be in business with their besties? We now officiate around 70 weddings a year and each one is custom-written. We enjoy getting to know our couples, preparing them for the big day, and exceeding their expectations for a ceremony.
We don't come with any one template or agenda. We listen deeply and help you articulate your ceremony vision. Then we can give you many options for vows, readings and other rituals. We are non-anxious, trained public speakers who feature your love story as the main theme of the ceremony. We don't tell anyone how to be married. We don't tell jokes. We don't add any fluff to the ceremony. It's all about YOU! Every wedding couple deserves more Wow!

Perfectly tailored ceremony!
TLDR: Amy coordinated our ceremony to perfection and did such a good job, people asked how long we had known her for, assuming she was a longtime family friend!! Our ceremony was perfectly us - it told our love story with tears, laughter, and so much joy. The long version: my husband and I had no clue where to start when looking for an officiant. We wanted someone who could coordinate the ceremony, made the process easy, and aligns with our progressive views (LGBTQ rights, for example). Amy M. was all of this and more. She made planning so easy! She asked if we wanted the ceremony religious, if we wanted to do our own vows, who we wanted in the ceremony, etc. She even mentioned a Celtic hand-fasting ceremony after learning of our trip to Ireland, and we ended up doing one! It was such a special moment. We decided to do our own vows and repeat traditional vows, something we didn’t even know was an option. At the rehearsal, Amy navigated family dynamics, older relatives with mobility and hearing issues, and our stage fright with ease. She worked well with our other vendors, like our venue-provided coordinator and our dj on microphone set up. She made us feel so at ease! At the ceremony, Amy was a rockstar! She helped with last minute nerves and an issue with my mom’s dress that I only found out about weeks later! As for the ceremony itself, it was PERFECT! It was sentimental, goofy, loving, and full of happy tears. My favorite moment was when Amy finished my husbands vows, and tried to start mine. I misheard “I, Sophia” as “Hi Sophia”, cheerfully said “Hi!” And stared at her for seconds until realizing my mistake. The ensuing laughter washed away all my nerves and made for a memory I will never forget. We cannot recommend Amy at Wows and Vows enough!!!! Thank you for everything!
Thoughtfully crafted ceremony
Amy from Wows and Vows was great and easy to work with. My husband and I each filled out relationship questionnaires that she used to write a meaningful and nicely worded ceremony. She met with us virtually, checked in via email, and was flexible with scheduling our rehearsal.
Meb is kind, professional, and amazing.
My wife and I are international students, so we didn’t receive much wedding guidance from our parents since they live so far away. I was very stressed while planning the wedding, but luckily, I found Meb. She reached out to me very quickly, and when I told her that I wanted to include our golden retriever in the ceremony, she was so supportive. When I was struggling to find a venue, Meb kindly offered her church at a very affordable rate. She met with us a few weeks before the ceremony and guided us through the entire process. I truly appreciate how much time she spent talking with us and getting to know us. She is such a kind person — I could feel that she genuinely cared about us, rather than just treating us as clients. She even sent us the ceremony script ahead of time and patiently answered all my questions. On the day of the ceremony, everything went smoothly just as planned. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you for creating a memory that my wife and I will cherish forever. Thank you, my friend.
