I’m a storyteller at heart, and I pour that passion into everything I capture. I’ll bring calm to the chaos, fluff dresses, and make sure you feel at ease, so you can focus on what really matters: soaking in every second of your day or enjoying the little things during your session.
I believe that capturing any wedding or elopement is so much more than just showing up and documenting your day. It’s what comes before that, and what comes after that. The details and planning that I love helping my couples with. I want to give everyone I work with an amazing experience from start to finish. No matter how big or small of a wedding you are planning.

Best photographer!
Cara is amazing and her photos are beautiful! She was so easy to work with especially as an out of town bride. She not only made us feel comfortable but my bridal party, guests and other vendors loved her too! We got our photos back within 2 weeks and they were amazing! We highly recommend Cara. We had an overall fantastic experience working with her!
As soon as you can! Most of my couples book me anywhere from 12-18 months out for weddings, less time for elopements. For Hourly bookings, I only book 4 hours or less up to 4 months in advanced or less. For Engagements, I only book weekend dates out up to 1 month in advanced (FRIDAY , SAT, or SUN). And weekday sessions I am pretty flexible with.
YES! I absolutely love traveling. Travel is not included in my Epic or Mini collection, and will vary depending where your wedding takes place. I do also offer a "travel collection" and it includes travel to anywhere in the US. Some destinations have none or minimal travel fees. Contact me directly for more info!
I love getting to know those who inquire. I do this through a phone call or a zoom meeting. While I would love to be able to meet everyone who inquires with a face-to-face meet, I try and keep that open time reserved for clients who have booked me, as I love setting up in person meetings with current couples to go over wedding day plans, timeline, ideas, and just to really get to know each other.
If I haven’t been to your wedding venue, I always arrive early on the day of the wedding to look around and get familiar with the location. To scope out all the best spots for portraits. Depending if the venue is local, and my schedule allows, sometimes I can swing by the venue at an earlier date to check it out.
Heck yes you can! When you Inquire I can send these over to you so you can see exactly how I document a wedding day from start to finish.
To be transparent, I like to keep it true to its form as it was on the day of. I don’t change how you look, I don’t edit out (or edit in) any people to or from photos. only minor color correction, adding my presets on for my authentic style of editing, and changing images to black and white. If there are major changes you want done to your images, that can be outsourced for a separate editing fee.
I can typically turn around a wedding in 6-8 weeks. You will receive all of your images in an online gallery, where you will get a code to download all the high res images. You will also get a print release to go make prints, photobooks, canvas’s, or whatever else you’d like, as that is not something I provide. However, I can recommend some great labs to get those made!
I give you all the best images from your day. I don’t leave out any moments! The only ones that wont be delivered are duplicates, test shots, if someone is blinking, not looking at the camera, unflattering angles, etc. Typically I deliver around 50-75 images/hr that I am there. But it depends on the wedding as each one is different. For Portrait sessions you usually get back around 40-60 images.
Totally! I have two cameras, multiple lenses, I even have two memory card slots in each camera so I can automatically back up your amazing wedding photos as I shoot. (Plus i require any of my second shooters to also have two memory card slots). Once I get home, I upload your images, and copy them onto 3 different hard drives for safe keeping.
I work with a great group of photographers. They have just as much experience as I do, and shoot in the same style with the same equipment as me. No one who works with me is still learning or trying to gain experience. I don’t believe your wedding day is a teaching moment. I do not officially book a second until about 8 weeks out or so, but no matter who it is, they will do a killer job!

I will then respond ASAP with more info for you… Pricing, Availability, Some Full Galleries, etc. When you are ready to book, you let me know and I will send you my contract, an invoice for your retainer, and then you’re good to go!
