Blending film and digital formats, she captures each celebration with intention and heart. Deeply passionate about couples celebrating their love their way, Daniela advocates for wedding days that feel true to who you are—filled with what brings you joy, and free of anything that doesn’t. She honed her craft at the San Francisco Art Institute, where she developed a distinctive style that merges fine-art composition with a candid, documentary approach. The result? 1 Million Stars for Daniela Monzi!!
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Dani, the experience of working with her, and the quality of her photos! We were very overwhelmed at the start of the planning process because we knew we didn’t want traditional wedding photos- both in style and in the time commitment for our day. We wanted to spend the entire day with our guests and each other, not an hour doing portraits and group photos. We also did not want thousands of photos back that we would never do anything with. We just wanted a few hundred high quality photos we loved. Dani was so understanding and innovative in coming up with a customized plan for us! She shot our wedding “documentary style” and ENTIRELY ON FILM!! She captured mostly unposed action shots, while still paying attention to the few specific shots we wanted. We spent no more than 15 minutes actually doing portraits and family photos (which all came out perfectly), and the rest of the wedding, Dani was somehow completely unobtrusive but still captured everything we wanted - the unadulterated energy and vibe of our day! It was so impressive and I’m sure extremely difficult for her; we were so appreciative that she came up with the creative plan for us and executed it so perfectly! She used 3 or 4 different styles of film camera AND A DRONE, and the resulting photos were everything we could want: romantic, classic, naturally lit, warm, sweeping, authentic, lush, energized and FUN! We love every photo and we loved even more the way she fit seamlessly into our day. She was also fantastic to communicate with; multiple meetings, clear emails, understanding, personal and kind. We would book her again in a heartbeat and everyone who sees the photos of our day asks us how we found someone so unworthy and talented! Thank you Dani!!!
Can’t recommend Dani enough!
Dani shot our engagement pictures, wedding, and a small shoot with our baby; she did an amazing job with all three! She has a great eye for what will look good in terms of lighting and background and is very skilled with the a variety of production/formats (film, digital, editing as needed) to make sure the final results are incredible. These are some of my favorite pictures of our family and I’m so glad we had Dani there to capture them. Not to mention she’s so personable and fun, it makes everything so easy! Bring your dog!
ZOMG
I was pretty nervous about being photographed on my wedding day, especially because it was my first time with a professional. But the second Dani arrived and the day started rolling, I magically forgot my nerves and just felt so AMAZING and present and silly and myself! Dani was so calm and so sweet and knew exactly what to do and where to shoot and how to pose us all, even though it was her first time meeting a lot of us, and she had never been to our backyard before. It was so cool! She really connected with us all and made me and my now husband feel so comfortable on our big day. Receiving our preview photos just 2 days after the wedding filled me with happiness and relief - I looked good! Lol!!! And, the spirit of the day was embedded in all the photos, crowned with perfect golden aesthetic. Wow. Seriously love them so much and have not stopped staring and am so glad we trusted Dani with capturing such an important day. She did it effortlessly and with great love and care and artistry. I highly HIGHLY recommend her 3
Present, intimate, professional
Working with Dani was an absolute dream! My husband and I got married in an intimate ceremony with just our immediate families on a lake, so feeling relaxed, fully present, and intentional was important to us. Dani helped us manifest this every step of the way, from helping us plan a loose timeline when we had no idea what we were doing to capturing our love and joy on our wedding day while keeping everything feeling laid back and intimate. I’ve worked with wedding photographers who make you feel like you’re in a wedding factory, rushing you through the same routine and poses that everyone else has. That’s not Dani. Dani is a true master of her craft and the photos she created are absolutely incredible - she really rolled with the vibe of the day and captured the feelings, intimacy, and love in a way that brings us back to the moment every time we look at our photos. We now have a stunning gallery of digital, film, and drone shots that we will cherish forever! (Even though it was soooo hot and humid, she carried all her cameras all day!) If you want a photographer who will actually get to know you, listen to your vision, and give you professional, personal, curated photographs while making sure your actual experience on your wedding day is present and intentional, Dani is your girl, hands down.
