Hi, I'm David! I'm a documentary wedding photographer who believes in real, raw, emotional photography. I have traveled and lived in many countries and states, always pursuing adventure and good stories. This is how I came to be a wedding photographer: every family's story is unique and I love making it visual. There is always emotion and sometimes a subtle hand brush, other times hugs or tears. Finding those moments and saving them for you is what I do. I specialize in candid moments and documentary photography, and I help people who hate being photographed love their photography.

I photograph almost exclusively from a candid or documentary perspective. During portraits I do use awkward poses or make you do anything that is not reflective of who the two of you are, but rather let you be yourselves.

We truly couldn’t have wished for a better wedding photographer than David. He captured every bit of the happiness and love from our day so beautifully. We had a unique combination of a Glacier National Park elopement and an intimate wedding, and David was absolutely perfect for it. He photographed our sunrise private vows in the park, guiding us to the most stunning locations and taking gorgeous candid portraits without ever making us feel rushed. He knew all the best spots and made the experience fun, relaxed, and so easy. Later, he photographed our very small ceremony and reception (about 15 people total), and once again perfectly captured the love, joy, and emotion of the day. We are beyond thrilled with how our photos turned out and will cherish them forever. We would highly recommend David to anyone looking for timeless, candid, and heartfelt photos of their wedding day.

David Clumpner is hands down the best in the business. He knows exactly how to make a wedding look like your dream wedding and doesn’t force any poses. He’s anywhere and everywhere all at once. There’s a reasons he’s won awards and is considered one of the best wedding photographers is the world. He’s also just a really incredible guy. Hire him.
