    If you are considering any other professional photographer for a special event or wedding, please let this be your sign to go with Jen Syl. On my wedding day, I felt confident, beautiful and happy. Not only did Jen and her team accurately capture all these emotions but she turned them into art! She was able to capture every emotion I felt that day and when I look back on her photos I feel as happy as I did on my wedding day. On top of all of that, she is a BLAST to work with! She meets up with you like your old friends and her sessions feel more like a friendly hangout than meeting with a stranger for the first time. She’s a total pro, so much fun to be around, looks out for you in the best possible way and gives you the best gift - beautiful photos to look back on for years to come.

    Working with Jen was the best experience and we feel so lucky to be a part of her absolute ART. I (bride) was struggling looking for a photographer and asked my cousin (bridesmaid), a photographer herself, for help. She got to work and when she sent me Jen’s website, she said, “All of the images are gorgeous.” I had an inkling we were on to something as I filled out Jen’s very thoughtful inquiry form. Her response had such genuine and positive energy, and the rest is history! Because we are based in Brooklyn, we considered passing on the included engagement session but, to use Jen’s words, she “respectfully insisted” on coming to Brooklyn. My groom was explicitly comfortable having his photo taken, but quickly warmed up to the idea. Jen collaborated so thoughtfully with us and we chose a few locations meaningful to us as well as some classic shots on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was probably one of my favorite “dates” ever and Jen was the perfect third wheel. We even asked her along to our weekly Drag Bingo ritual after. The photos themselves (no surprise!) were incredible. We loved them and so did everyone else! They were personal and beautiful and cool, and we had a blast. I frequently commented over the course of wedding planning that the one thing we weren’t worried about was photography. We even used engagement photos as decor at the wedding and on matchbox favors! Jen was so supportive and interactive with us, both formally (more thoughtful forms!) and informally (little check-ins and chats over text/DM). We experienced a few challenges with our wedding venue over the course of planning, but there was so much comfort in knowing that besides enjoying a day with our people, we would have fantastic pictures because of Jen! We did first look and some of our photos before the ceremony and Jen got us in the groove for sure. It was really grounding to have that time together and just be able to trust fully that Jen would capture and deliver our dream photographs. Jen is a total pro and helped keep us to the schedule, but also kept us relaxed and enjoying the time. We were honestly sad to say goodbye at the end of the night, but she has a standing invite to Brooklyn. She sent us a few pictures just hours after the reception and a full sneak peek in under a week. We are, of course, THRILLED with the photos. We will treasure these captured moments forever!! We look forward to enthusiastically recommending Jen at every opportunity. We will always be grateful to have worked with such a talented, dedicated, thoughtful photographer who is also just a really good time.
