I see photography as more than documentation, it’s storytelling with heart. My decade in the wedding industry, including years designing bridal gowns, shaped how I see light, fabric, and emotion. Leah at Thistle & Poppy is incredible! We first hired her to do our Engagement photos and absolutely fell in love with her style, attention to detail, and ability to capture exactly what we wanted! We loved her so much that we hired her to shoot our rehearsal dinner and post wedding brunch (we had already booked a wedding photographer or we would have booked her for that as well). She really listened to what we were looking for in an engagement shoot and expanded upon it and fully brought it to life. She has an incredible ability to capture the intimate moments that you didn’t even know were happening, and she’s great for helping with posing and positioning for those of us that are not good in front of a camera. Neither of us consider ourselves “photogenic” and we’re both self conscious about getting our pictures taken. Leah made us feel completely comfortable and completely alleviated our anxiety, and the pictures speak for themselves! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding / engagement photographer to hire her immediately before someone else does!
