Hi there, I’m Zaida and I’m a full time wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographer (yes, I do destination weddings) based in Fredericksburg, VA and I do travel wherever you need me! I am married to a handsome man and I’m also a mom. I am from the Dominican Republic, raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I capture special moments with creativity and a uniqueness that separates me from the rest. I love to travel, spend time with my husband, play with my little ones, eat and I have a sweet tooth!

Through photography I have found my niche capturing precious moments at weddings and people. I’m not about those awkward “poses”. I wanna create together and dig deeper so I can capture photos of you for who you actually are. I want to capture the little things and the big feelings. I wanna give you something you’ll look back on again, and again that will take you back to these precious moments. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to hold together moments that will be gone in seconds.

Zaida is an absolute beast behind the camera. She captured every moment with so much emotion and detail that our photos feel alive. Zaida is a consummate professional and an artist. The samples on her website are a very good representation of the quality provided. What you won’t know from the website is that she was also a real pleasure to have around! She’s friendly, has an easy laugh, and makes others comfortable. She’s flexible and creative when things don’t go as planned on the wedding day. She took time and care to make sure that she got a list of the shots we wanted to capture and understood who was important to us. For instance, I shared that I really wanted to get pictures with my niece and she captured some absolutely adorable shots that I will treasure forever! My husband has always been shy about taking photos, and I was very nervous about getting nice shots. Zaida gave the perfect amount of guidance – suggesting framing and approximate poses, but not overdirecting and allowing us to be comfortable with her. It worked really well. We have never had such lovely photos together! She was also totally game to do an unusual location for our engagement shoot, the air and space museum. She mentioned she loves photographing couples in locations that are special to them. You can tell that she really loves love, learning about couples and their stories, and being part of weddings. On the wedding day, the groom’s suit went missing so we had to scramble to get all the family shots we wanted – she was super flexible and unbothered, and made sure to make use of the extra time for great shots of the brides family and venue. It was a pleasure to have Zaida be part of our wedding day. We received the photos back in less than two months and will treasure them forever.

Zaida is the absolute best!! She captures everything all the time moments. She made it so easy and gave the best directions, especially for those that aren’t the best at taking photos or understanding how to move. Her and her husband were amazing the day of they made everything so fun and easy they kept us on track. They were honestly the best to work with and had a great time to be around. Definitely would recommend them for any event.

We had the absolute best experience with our wedding photographer and her second shooter, Anthony (her husband). From the very beginning, she made the process feel so easy and comfortable. Having an engagement shoot with her beforehand was such a great way to get to know her style and build a connection before the big day—it made us feel at ease in front of the camera. On our wedding day, she and Anthony went above and beyond. They were professional, organized, and so fun to work with. They captured every moment beautifully, all while making us feel relaxed and present. We couldn’t be happier with the photos and the memories they preserved for us. Highly recommend!
