Dream venue that pictures don’t do justice!

We were honored to host our wedding at Meyers Castle in August 2024 and can’t imagine having our dream day anywhere else. My husband’s been familiar with the venue for years way back when they hosted events at the speakeasy. When he described it to me it sounded too good to be true but after touring the first time words can’t describe how beautiful it is. It’s an absolute dream venue with so many beautiful backdrops and details you don’t need much decor! The garden and statues are stunning! We honeymooned in Italy and have to say this venue rivals any Italian Villa. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The food is amazing and for smaller weddings the Oakroom is so intimate and beautiful. I wish we could relive the day over and over again. It’s so romantic and can fit any size wedding. We didn’t use the bridal suite because it’s a separate fee but found the venues all inclusive rates to be extremely affordable. Our ceremony was in front of the gazebo with the castle in the background but any location would be equally beautiful. If you’re thinking about it let this be your sign it’s just as beautiful in person as in pictures. Our wedding was even featured on Brides as a hidden NWI gem. It’s only 30 min-1 hour outside of Chicago so it wasn’t an issue for guests to get to. Thank you Meyers Castle for hosting our dream day!

Our wedding at Meyer’s Castle in Dyer, Indiana on October 24, 2025 was absolutely perfect, and a huge part of that was thanks to Eva Demoff, our incredible wedding coordinator. I truly cannot sing her praises high enough. From the moment I arrived that morning to the very last minute of the night, Eva was by my side whenever I needed her. I had the bridal suite rented for the day, and she was there first thing to greet me with a smile and then stayed all the way until the end helping us pack everything up. She easily spent 16 hours making sure every detail was handled so my husband and I did not have to stress for a single second. Eva is the perfect mix of fun, kind and refreshingly candid. She told me exactly what to expect throughout the day so there were no surprises, no confusion and zero stress. She kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling overbearing or rushed. One moment that really shows who she is: during our bridal luncheon, we realized I had miscounted the number of sandwiches we needed. Without hesitation, Eva shared her own lunch and gave half to my stepmom. It is such a small but meaningful example of how thoughtful and generous she is. Eva went above and beyond in every possible way. She cared about our wedding as if it were her own, and we felt completely supported from start to finish. If you are getting married at Meyer’s Castle or anywhere Eva works, you will be incredibly lucky to have her on your team. She made our day magical. Thank you, Eva. You are truly exceptional.

Beautiful place, filled with history. Feels like stepping into a real life fairytale. Gardens are perfect for a weekend wedding. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff and owners who so kindly shared the castle’s fascinating stories with us. We loved our wedding so much that we hope, in 10-20 years, to return here to renew our vows in the very same place.

Meyer's Castle is situated just 12 miles from the city's border, or a 35-minute drive from downtown Chicago. A common misconception arises due to our Indiana location, leading many couples to believe it is far. In reality, from the second floor of our venue, you can see the skyline of downtown Chicago, positioning our estate much closer to the city than the majority of suburbs.

Meyer's Castle can accommodate from 30 to 350 guests, as we have multiple ballrooms with varying guest capacities and ceremony areas to choose from.

Meyer's Castle exclusively provides in-house catering services. We do not permit outside catering. Please contact us to request an informational guide with menu options.

Our estate is open seven days a week. Please be aware that weekend appointments book quickly, and there is often a waiting list, as many couples prefer to tour the venue on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend appointments are limited because they cannot interfere with scheduled events. It is also worth noting that all venues, including Meyer's Castle, are currently in the midst of the engagement season. This means that 40% of prime dates (May-Oct 2025 & 2026) will be booked by couples between Thanksgiving and St. Valentine's Day. It is highly recommended to schedule a venue tour now to secure your desired event date.

Yes, but our preferred vendor list is solely a recommendation of great vendors with whom we have had experience before, standing out among others based on their professional qualities and talent. You are free to bring your own licensed vendors as well. Outside catering is not permitted.

No. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased through Meyer's Castle, in accordance with our liquor license.

Yes, Meyer's Castle offers free parking that can accommodate up to 325+ guests. It is private, gated, and very convenient.

Meyer's Castle is conveniently located near two major airports: a 45-minute drive from O'Hare International Airport and a 30-minute drive from Chicago Midway International Airport.

No, our venue is fully insured, so our clients do not need to purchase additional insurance. However, each of your outside vendors must provide us with their own liability insurance.

No, Meyer's Castle hosts events all year long. The snowy grounds with the historic castle in the background is a perfect canvas for a Winter Wonderland themed event.

Clients are allowed to bring their dog for outdoor ceremonies, and outdoor receptions only. Client must book a licensed wedding pet attendant , who will be handling and assisting throughout the event, including on-leash exercising, hydrating, and pottying. Only Service Animals are allowed to the indoor portion of the Meyer’s Castle. No emotional support animals are permitted indoors.
