About this venue
Centrally located in the heart of North Portland, The Baker Building is available to host your wedding, reception and ceremony. This historic building has been thoughtfully updated, keeping many of the original details while adding a modern touch. The building features a second floor ballroom with exposed rafters and hanging café lights, elegant hardwood flooring, and tons of natural light. A large kitchen and serving room is conveniently located just next to the ballroom as well as two private suites for guests. *All tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, surround sound PA system, wireless microphones and overhead projector. *We offer an open vendor policy which means that you may bring in outside caterers for no additional fee.

Baker Building Ballroom
The Baker Building is a historic wedding and event venue in Portland, Oregon
The 2,000 square foot ballroom features 18 foot ceilings with exposed rafters and solid oak floors with a stunning herringbone design. The ballroom features two attached private suites and a 600 square foot catering kitchen complete with serving stations, sinks and refrigeration. A professional sound system, an HD projector, microphones, tables and chairs are included in the rental fee.

Beautiful venue, wonderful owners
The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with so many architectural details like exposed rafters and herringbone flooring that added so much beauty to our wedding. My husband and I are history nerds and loved how timeless the space felt. From the moment we first reached out to The Baker Building, we were impressed by how friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive the owners are. They were incredibly helpful in setting up our tables and chairs for a small fee, and also assisted us in finding the perfect vendors to complete our wedding day vision. We highly recommend The Baker Building for a unique wedding venue experience in Portland.
Beautiful venue, wonderful owners
The Baker Building was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, they were incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and very knowledgeable about the venue and the wedding planning process. The venue is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. My partner and I are history nerds and loved all of the architectural details! They helped us find the perfect vendors for our wedding day and even set up all of the tables and chairs for a small fee, taking a lot of the stress off our plate. I would highly recommend The Baker Building to any couple searching for a unique and well-appointed venue in the Portland area. Our wedding day was made all the more special thanks to their fantastic service and attention to detail.

From the moment we booked The Baker Building for our rehearsal dinner, the owners were incredibly responsive and thoughtful in their communication. The style and layout of the venue was perfect for our intimate gathering, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for our fall rehearsal dinner. The Baker Building is a truly unique wedding venue with so much vintage charm and character. The building itself has numerous cute corners for great portraits, it is located in a fun neighborhood, and has a great facade. There is also lovely landscaping around the immediate building that provides a variety of backdrop options for photos. Peninsula Park is only a couple of blocks away as well. The space itself is incredibly versatile and can be transformed to fit any couple's vision. I have photographed several events here and always excited to go back. I highly recommend The Baker Building to any couple looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding experience.
