About this venue

Uptown Indigo is a romantic, modern, chic venue. Our Ballroom and Steeples/Rooftop is perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, or any upscale event. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000 square foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with rich historic elements. It is fully accessible with a vintage elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. The Steeples Space is on the top floor, complete with a beautiful bar for cocktail hours or smaller ceremonies. The detailed tile ceilings along with the warm lighting give the space a romantic, yet fun feel. Lastly, the Rooftop Terrace offers 800 square feet with a panoramic view the mountains in the distance. Our venue comes with tables and chavari chairs that elevate your event. We can't wait to give you a tour.

The Ballroom

A Grand Elegant Ballroom that is rich in historic details creating a romantic elevated space for weddings and receptions.

The Ballroom is a modern, chic 6,000 square foot space. Rich with architectural history with original floors and ornate tin ceiling tiles. Uptown Indigo Ballroom is perfect ceremonies and receptions. One side has antiqued mirrors while the other has windows showing the 1909 Gothic Revival church next door.

Elevator bellhop, pro-level sound systems and lights, arrangement service for in-house linens, all tables and chairs included with up to 8 tall cocktail tables, 20 6-foot round tables seating 10-12, 20 8-foot rectangular tables, and 220 champagne color Chiavari chairs, recommended floor plans, table and chair arrangement, general liability insurance, clean up, and consultation meetings. Other add-ons available upon request.

Steeples & Rooftop Terrace

A chic, modern space with rich historic elements and a breathtaking view of Shelby from the rooftop.

This level of the building has a prohibition-style bar, a smaller bathroom, and a diverse 3,000 square foot cocktail hour space. This space also acts as the bridal suite. The original floors, original tin ceiling, a pool table, and mini grand piano create an air of comfort. The scenic windows show all the steeples of First Baptist Church of Shelby. Steeples also includes access to our 800 square foot Rooftop Terrace with views of surrounding mountains. It is the tallest building in Shelby.
