I received many compliments on the flowers and the venue coordinator referred brides that were interested in “my florist”! With my combined business acumen, production experience, and flair for design, I saw the perfect opportunity to start my business, and B&B was born. I live in NY with my husband, little girls and pups.

Native New Yorker Denise Porcaro founded Flower Girl over ten years ago, having come from a background in production design for film. James Francois-Pijuan has a background in fine art, having earned his bachelor's at Parsons New York. Highly trained as a sculptor and a painter (earning his BFA from Parsons School of Design), he brings an artist’s eye for color, texture, form, movement, and meaning into all his designs. James approaches each event as a new work of art, working with a natural form to fashion a vision uniquely crafted for each occasion. He began designing his first floral arrangements to court the woman who would one day become his wife.

I started my career in 2002 as a floral designer after studying European design and Ikebana Misho-ryu at one of he best floral design college in Japan. After working as an exclusive flower designer at The Ritz Carlton Tokyo, I moved to Paris, where I created floral arrangements for various famous fashion brand events, such as Paris Fashion Week, Dior, Hermès… I live in New York since 2015 and produce floral set designs for shows during New York Fashion Week like Alexander Wang, Diptyque, The Row, Tiffany..My designs are frequently featured Harper's Bazaar cover story, Tiffany × Numéro...
