“(Full disclaimer: This was before Jill’s prices went up.) I originally was looking for a day-of-coordinator for my wedding because my budget at the time was under 1k for one, but Jill gave me a great deal at the time to be a full on wedding planner as she was just starting her business. And I’m glad I went with that option because I didn’t realize how much goes into the type of wedding I wanted. If you’re having a wedding that has over 110 guests and has a lot of moving parts- you need to hire a wedding planner (with an assistant ideally). In hindsight, I think I would have paid a little extra for an assistant as well because there were some details in the reception that were overlooked-through no one’s fault- just a lot was going on that day. Thankfully, none of the guests noticed these missing details (Like the customized dessert bags that were never used, or candy that were still in boxes, the heaters not being put up on time -This was a November wedding, and the wedding cake missing its decorative flowers). But this was a learning experience, and overall, I’m thankful to have had Jill by my side, because I think things would have been much worse if I didn’t have her help. At one point, a second mariachi band showed up announced, but that was taken care of lol. I’m not sure what other wedding planners do, but I was happy that Jill allowed me the freedom to come up with the vision and design for my wedding, while she took care of the logistics and planning- like arranging video call meetups w/ the vendors and venue which helped a lot. It also helped that her schedule was flexible despite some personal family emergencies that happened during the process. I’m sure once her business grows more she will be able to get the extra help needed to plan much bigger, more fantastical weddings! Overall, I would recommend Jill as a wedding planner: She’s very down-to-earth, punctual (thank you for getting to the courthouse on time while I was running late) , professional, compassionate- took well to my notes, and concerns, and jumped to the occasion. Thanks again, Jill!”
