No detail was missed, from the beautiful lighting that accentuated the space, to the amazing staff who anticipated our every need. When the sunset started to make the room a bit too bright, the Sixpence staff seamlessly drew the shades to create the perfect ambiance without our guests even noticing. Our Sixpence Manager was incredibly sweet and thoughtful, making sure we had all the champagne we needed while getting ready and checking in on us throughout the day. We could not have asked for a better venue and team to host our wedding celebration!!!

(I'm posting this review to Google and Zola, so if you see it twice it isn't some purchases review - I just want as many people to see it as possible!)  We had our wedding at The Sycamore at Mallow Run in December of 2025 and we could not have been happier. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are beautiful, even in the dead of a frigid Indiana winter. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Everyone was very responsive, from us planning our initial visit to some last minute changes in our ceremony.  Our venue coordinator was Kim W. and she was absolutely wonderful. She responded to emails very quickly - usually within 24 hours. She was even receptive to some last minute changes we had to our signature cocktails and us wanting to add an outdoor heater in case guests needed to get some air and leave the reception space for a moment. Kim was there all day and made a point to check in with us throughout the morning, but didn't get in the way or become overly involved. She was the perfect combination of attentive without interrupting.  While they have a specific list of preferred caterers, there is so much variation on the list that we didn't have any issues. Even if we hadn't liked those caterers, their fee for a non-preferred caterer was reasonable compared to other venues we looked at. Similarly, you have to use their bar and their bar staff, but their bar selection is outstanding. I had no issues being "limited" to using them (except for one small thing noted below).  We had a few complaints, but they don't rise to the level of the dinging their review level. But they are things I think people would want to know.  1) the getting ready space for the bride is amazing. Two full suites, each with a private bathroom, one set up perfectly for hair and makeup while the other is set up perfectly for mimosas, changing, hanging out during some downtime, etc. The same cannot be said for the groom suite. It is separate from the bridal space (which is great for couples who are not doing a first look like we did), but there is no private bathroom. The space itself is outside of the main building (think a shed, but a really nice shed) and if the groom needs to use the bathroom, he has to come in to the main space, right next to where the bride is getting ready. We had to have a groomsman escort my husband to and from the bathroom to make sure I wasn't out getting photos taken or anything like that. The space for the groom also wasn't very large. We had a total of 5 people in their and they said it was cramped. If you have more than that, be aware.  2) the bar has a strict No Shots policy, which I completely understand. What we weren't expecting is that the policy also includes drinks like bourbon or scotch. Ultimately, that wasn't a huge deal, but it was something that surprised us since those aren't typically "shots."  Again, overall our experience was amazing. The venue is so beautiful. The people were so helpful. The bartender was amazing. I would absolutely recommend that venue to anyone. I don't want that two things I mentioned to be taken too seriously. They had very little effect on the day overall. It was a stunning day at a stunning venue. I couldn't have asked for a better venue.
