Built in the late 1920's by the Buhl family as a weekend get-away. Purchased in 1967 by Oakland County and transformed into one of the Detroit areas most sought-after private event spaces. Pine Knob Mansion is situated on an elegant estate in the woodlands of Clarkston, Michigan. Unique touches include stone walls hung with swords and shields, lavish chandeliers and carved wood paneling. The Mansion’s maximum capacity is 150 guests. Built in 1927, this chic building has a more contemporary style. It has a granite-topped bar, both white and dark wood columns and crystal chandeliers. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a wide view of the golf course. The Carriage House is our larger venue hosting up to 280 guests with it's own covered outdoor pavilion perfect for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or outdoor dancing.

Plan your wedding on the charming grounds or in the historic 1845 New School church. With exclusive use of Mill Race Village, your wedding can be held any time of the year. In the Church or outside in the gazebo, weather permitting, your ceremony will be a memorable event in this picturesque Victorian setting. A Village Representative will be with you during your event to open and close the church and to keep the public off the grounds of the Village while your wedding is in progress, ensuring your privacy. Couples must provide their own clergy or officiant to perform their ceremony. Decorating the wedding site and clean up of the site is the responsibility of the couple. If you're planning an outdoor event for your wedding the Church is available for use in case of inclement weather.
