“My husband and I booked Blacktie Brothers as our videographer for our wedding in October 2023, and we could not have been more pleased. Mitchell, myself, and both of our families were SO impressed by your team at our wedding. On the day of our wedding, there were quite a few challenges to making the day go as smoothly as I had hoped, mainly the rain caused us to have to move our ceremony inside. The wedding coordinator associated with the venue did not follow up on a few of the tasks she had agreed to doing, namely being present during the photo session to make sure I was comfortable and hydrated. The entire media team at Blacktie Brothers stepped in and handled it so professionally, even getting me water when I felt faint from all of the commotion. Our day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it had without the help Blacktie Brothers gave us. We opted for the raw footage package, so we received an edited movie of our wedding as well as all the raw footage of our day on a thumb drive. The movie they made is amazing. The song they chose for the ceremony portion of the movie was a special choice— the lyrics reflected some aspects of our story as a couple. It was so thoughtfully crafted and makes me cry whenever I see it! The team was responsive and professional throughout the entire wedding planning process. Any question or concern we had was met with a genuine, timely response. The movie and the raw footage is now something we can have and share for the rest of our lives, and they so beautifully preserved the memory of our day. We are all here for you. All your family, your friends and I (yes, me too!) are here to honor you on your wedding day! As excited as I am to get to the dancefloor with you guys, I know a lot of planning goes into making your day special. As your photographer, I’ve been to a few weddings and am just a call or text away from any insight you might want. I approach every wedding with the same mentality, how can I tell the story of today in the most real way possible? I’ve found the best way to do that is to just be me. I allow myself to be present and listen to the stories unfold throughout the day.

“Gabe did a terrific job capturing our wedding day. He is super talented and we feel so fortunate to have had him photograph our wedding. Our details changed several times with COVID and Gabe was always one step ahead, making sure he could accommodate whatever changes were made. On our wedding day Gabe went above and beyond, working behind the scenes to cultivate pictures of such treasured moments. Most of our photos were candid, which was something that was important to us and Gabe also highlights. My husband and I really valued his authenticity and communication skills. We feel like the pictures he captured truly are us and not a posed image of who we want to be pictured as. 10/10 would recommend!”

Laura's experience and professionalism were demonstrated pre-wedding with effective communication and outlining of expectations. She provided excellent advice which ultimately made the day of go much smoother. At the wedding and reception, we were impressed by how unimposing Laura was while still being able to capture the moments most significant to us, as well as the ones we didn't even know would be the most important to us until we saw them. When the fire alarms went off unexpectedly, she took it in stride, creating the most of the moment by placing us near the fire trucks and capturing some of the best pictures of the night. “Amber is AMAZING! Like truly hands down an outstanding photographer. I have never done a photoshoot and was largely inexperienced when it comes to pose ideas, preparation and knowing what to expect. Amber photographed my wedding and maternity shoot and came prepared with props, poses, creativity, and ideas. She asked in advance if I had any poses I specifically wanted and then delivered all I wanted AND MORE. She’s incredibly professional and she prepared in advance so it was easy for her to maneuver us from pose to pose quickly and efficiently. Her creativity with a camera helped her to see additional poses on the fly that I hadn’t even considered, and the pictures came out wonderfully. I cannot recommend her enough, 11/10 experience. Whether you’ve worked with a photographer before and know your angles or not, Amber is definitely and absolutely the woman for the job”

“Working with S&LM was pretty good. They communicated to me closer to the event, and asked me for everything they needed and more. The pictures I have seen so far look great, and the small video I have seen looked good as well. They made sure I got almost all of the specific photos I wanted, and had a take-charge attitude while photographing, and making sure everyone was in the right place and looking great! The DJs were pretty good, but didn't know all the specific songs we mentioned that we wanted played for certain dances/moments. They also didn't announce the first dance until they were hitting the play button, which threw our choreography off until we asked them to restart! Unfortunately, some people missed our dance because they didn't know that it was happening. It still worked out in the end, and all the right songs were played at the right moments. All in all, I would definitely recommend Lights & Sound Media to prospective couples.”
