“Since our venue did not have a preferred vendor list or a built-in catering team, we were given maximum flexibility (which is also intimidating, as the choice and freedom can be a bit overwhelming). To help narrow things down, our planner prompted us to choose a single type of cuisine that we like, and work from there. We both love New Orleans / Cajun cuisine, so enter My House. From their first proposal, we were all in. It featured childhood favorites like fried catfish, and out-of-the-ordinary passed appetizers like mini chicken & waffles. Our first calls with them were relaxed, collaborative and informative. Our first tasting, while kinda pricey (isn't everything?), went really well - and gave us a chance to provide more feedback and tweaks, which were promptly applied to later estimates and menus. As our planning evolved, it was a little tough to try to keep the budget in check, and it meant making some tough calls to cut costs (for instance - jettisoning late night bites), My House was always willing to work with both us and our planner on finding financial solutions - but there were a few moments where we felt like we didn't know what to expect, and stressed out a bit when we saw the latest numbers. I suppose this is part of the process for lots of couples. I never lost faith that they'd turn it out on the big day, and I'm happy to share that they did just that. They created an incredibly tasteful display for our buffet, which struck a balance between rustic and elegant. The staff was helpful, efficient, and professional - but I want to give special highlight to Simone. Simone was personable, diligent and intuitive. She knows exactly what she's doing, any couple would be very lucky to have her running any aspect of their event - because she does it with aplomb. The food was absolutely delicious. Big, bold flavors - zesty, crunchy, creamy, smoky, cheesy, sweet and spicy and everything in between . We loved hosting such a delectable menu that departed from the traditional wedding fare, but stayed true to the cuisine of New Orleans and the tastes of Southern comfort. So, so, so, so good!”

After interviewing a handful of companies, we decided to go with the team at Krafted Culture. From the beginning Chef Cooper was attentive to our vision, and our budget. He helped guide us along the path from beginning to our wedding day. Chef Cooper was always punctual, reliable, respectful and honest. He truly had our best interests at heart. The chicken piccata was so soft I still find hard to believe. The assorted desserts were definitely a talking point, they sure were assorted (was not even able to try them all!) and so delicious I couldn’t pick a favorite either. My wedding cake was everything I dreamed of! I can’t recommend chef johns more, and it sure was one of the best investments of my wedding.”

From start to finish, everything was flawless. They took time to understand our vision and executed it with perfection. The night began with appetizers that included lemon-poached shrimp that were perfectly tender, light, and bursting with citrusy flavor. The stuffed mushrooms with pecorino and panko gave them a savory crunch that made them addictive, and the charcuterie skewers were colorful, delicious, and creative. But it didn't stop there. The Italian focus of the menu was nothing short of spectacular. The meatballs were unforgettable and seasoned in a way that had even the Italians in the room nodding with approval. Several guests commented that they were the best meatballs they'd ever tasted. The rigatoni with Bolognese sauce was rich, hearty and layered with authentic flavor, and the chicken cutlets with lemon and Parmesan were both stars of the evening-- so delicious that guests were going back for seconds (and thirds). To finish the night, dessert was a sweet surprise of tiramisu with whipped mascarpone and aginetti sprinkle cookies. Star Valley Foods delivered more than just a meal; they created an experience that elevated our celebration and left every one of our guests raving. Most importantly, the people behind this company are as professional as they are kind- genuinely sweet, attentive, and caring in a way that made us feel special and celebrated right alongside our guests. We had espresso balsamic beef tenderloin, miso caramel scallops, garlic green beans, sesame noodles to die for - absolutely wow, vegan bbq seitan brisket, sautéed veggies, vegan and traditional charcuterie boards, strawberry goat cheese crostini, custom breads and cranberry brie in phyllo cups. All the food was amazing! The staff that was tending to us for the night were great. Our two bartenders were amazing. Loads of energy, great stories and really were life of the party.
