Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hannah's designs have been inspired by the wild + diverse landscape of the west coast. For the past 7 years, Hannah has worked with some of the best florists in the industry to create unique floral moments all across the country. In 2022, harnessing her previous experience, she began her independent design journey and Porch Flowers was born.

Floral design caught Kaitlyn off guard in the best way. A few years ago, she took a workshop on flower arranging and it was then that something ignited within her. She started creating arrangements and giving them as gifts, taught workshops using those same skills she learned, and used floral arranging as a form of her own self-care. “I love that no two floral arrangements are the same. You can use the same elements in two arrangements, but they’re all one-of-a-kind. Working with flowers is so peaceful, and it brings such joy to create something beautiful and unique." In my work I strive to bring dreams and ideas to life. While flowers can hold their own beauty alone , by playing to the strengths of each and every stem it can create such an organic feel to an arrangement. Continuing to be unique with my work is something that motivates me as an artist. When working with an organic medium I believe it’s important to have a bit of whimsy in every peace connecting it back to where it came from. I hope my work fulfills that vision and can inspire you as well.

Over 20 years of experience, I attribute much of my passion from amazing floral designers that pushed me to be a better designer. My mentor, Mamie Mason, loved flowers more than anyone I know. Her love and spirit were evident in everything and everyone she touched. She would free me to create and design from my own love of flowers. There wasn't a plan but more of an expression of yourself in the design. I found my passion in flowers but past the actual flower I found a passion in beauty in the ordinary. Flowers have a way in making ordinary come to life.
