I believe flowers have a special mission in our lives. People change when they see flowers. As a freelance floral designer, I loved the way faces lit up when I walked into the venue with arrangements and buckets of flowers. I decided to take the leap and pursue a career that would enable me to create something meaningful and beautiful and combine my passion with designing a purpose-driven life centered on creating stronger connections amongst people through the beauty and language of flowers.

Lauren Thompson has had a lifelong love of flowers that started in her mom's garden as a young girl. She is greatly inspired by nature and the natural colors of the changing seasons. She has developed her trade of flower arranging for over 15 years and takes great joy in helping brides bring beauty to their wedding day. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband and four children and is available for travel.

Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.

I’m a wannabe world changer, a devoted pray-er, and an avid forgiver. As I prepare for my own wedding in April of next year, I was taken aback by the exorbitant costs associated with floral arrangements.
