Drew Buerhaus Visuals

5.0

  • Videographer
  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves South Windham, ME

With over 20 years of experience as a camera operator and editor, I bring a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for storytelling to every wedding captured. Based in Maine, I specialize in crafting stunning wedding films across New England and beyond, celebrating love stories against the backdrop of some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country.

From the moment we connected with Drew Buerhaus Visuals, we knew we were in good hands. His communication was clear, timely, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Drew had a wonderfully easy-going presence on our wedding day, making us feel at ease as he captured all the special moments. The final video was truly exceptional - detailed, thoughtful, and completely memorable. Drew was highly recommended by our photographer, and we're so glad we had him to film our day. We almost did not include videography in our wedding but started to regret that decision in the final months leading up to our wedding. Drew worked with our budget and timeline and we honestly couldn't imagine our wedding day without him there to preserve those irreplaceable memories. We are thrilled with the results and will cherish our video for a lifetime.

The album and video are such an incredible keepsake I could cry happy tears every time. The photographers captured the overall mood so well, and the details are lovely. The video includes audio bites of people joking and that gives it extra soul. The styling suggestions they gave (for light and backdrop) were spot on. Family photos were handled quickly and with elegance, even the large extended ones. The highlight trailer is something we shared with relatives who couldn’t join and they loved it. The prints have archival quality and will hold up for years. I can’t recommend them enough for someone who wants a wedding archive that feels genuine.

I'm people-centric which means that, I'm focusing on you, your guests, and the real moments you're sharing together.

Awarded Best of Zola
I knew we needed to book Kaitlin from the second I found her Zola profile, but it was completely solidified by our meet and greet meeting. Kaitlin is exactly as described. So personal, completely herself, open and transparent, I could go on and on. One of the biggest things that sold us with Kaitlin (besides her work) was the fact that she gave us advice on what to look for/questions to ask with other photography vendors while we were on our hunt. We had our engagement photos in October in Boothbay Harbor and we are actually located in Western Mass. I had ideas in my head about what would work and Kaitlin made the drive to check out the locations and ensure they actually would. One of my locations wasn't the best lighting wise and she gave multiple other options to get similar looks. We actually ended up doing some downtown photos which are some of my favorites (which is a little a lie because I am obsessed with all of them). I read in multiple of Kaitlin's reviews that she makes awkward people comfortable behind the camera and I am here to say it is true. I was so stressed going into things, worried my hair looked bad, we wouldn't get *the* shot, we would look weird, etc. Kaitlin immediately asked me what my worries were and I felt so at ease. Working with Kaitlin felt like working with with a lifelong friend who really has it all together and is such a professional. I truly know that our wedding day is going to be that much better knowing she is going to be there documenting it all.

We had a wonderful experience working with The Noble House Inn Venue for our destination wedding. Their communication style was exceptional - always available via text and call, with open, caring, and compassionate conversations. The venue itself was simply beautiful, with clean rooms, impeccable grounds, and a magical setting that contributed to our special day. As this was a destination wedding, we had to ship many fragile decorative items and The Noble House team was extremely detail-oriented in handling these with care. Their hard work clearly showed in the final product - everything came together seamlessly for a warm, clean, and lovely event space. We cannot recommend The Noble House highly enough for their beautiful, well-maintained venue and thoughtful, available communication every step of the way. We love you Lynn & Matt

With over 10 years of experience we aim to bring a fun, stress-free approach to the planning process, allowing you to stay present and fully enjoy your engagement. From managing logistics, helping you find your dream venue, or incorporating personal touches that showcase your unique love story- we’ve got your back through it all!

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Sarah of Petal and Pine highly enough! Planning our Maine wedding from Colorado meant booking our venue and all vendors sight unseen, which naturally came with some anxiety. Sarah absolutely exceeded our expectations and went far beyond typical day-of coordination. Our venue was unfamiliar to her, so she took the initiative to stay there overnight with her husband about a month before our wedding - on her own time and dime - to fully understand the space and logistics. She made the trip from Portland (about an hour away) to meet with us at the venue, which was invaluable for our peace of mind. She also coordinated our rehearsal the day before, ensuring everyone knew exactly what to expect. She even allowed us to ship items to her home for storage prior to the wedding weekend and met us a few days before to ensure we picked everything up. On the wedding day itself, Sarah’s calming presence was exactly what we needed. While we were worried about all the moving parts and vendor coordination, she executed everything flawlessly. Her organizational skills were exceptional - she shared detailed schedules with all our vendors in advance and managed every detail with grace and confidence. Sarah made what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless. We would absolutely use her services again and recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in Maine, especially those coordinating from out of state!

Tell us what you like, and we'll help you make it happen. We don't judge on musical taste or ideas, we just inject planning, calibration, and energy into a party.

I am not sure of the overall quality of the work or value provided by M.R.K. Entertainment, the wedding band and DJ we hired for our wedding. However, they did contribute a few notable things to our special day. The band played a great selection of upbeat music that kept our guests dancing all night long. Additionally, the DJ did a nice job of seamlessly transitioning between songs and maintaining the energy on the dance floor. Overall, M.R.K. Entertainment helped make our wedding reception an enjoyable experience for us and our guests.

Portland, Maine based Champagne Casanova got into the music business for all of the right reasons: they love to put on a show, connect with their audience and have a great time! With their decades of combined performing and gigging experience, your event is in the right hands. Specializing in Modern Pop, '90's Alternative, Indie-Rock, Pop-Punk and Country, the band covers a wide selection of just the that songs you and your guests want to hear. When it comes to live music, live sound and a reception that will be a party to remember, they are the only call you're going to have to make.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hiring CC was one of the best wedding decisions we made! From the beginning, Dan was super responsive and clear about the band’s style, availability and price. After booking, Dan was great about answering questions and keeping in touch about song requests, timeline and other important wedding items. If you’re looking for a band that you would want to dance and sing along with at a fun bar or party, on top of being extremely talented musicians, these are your people. They also understand weddings and are willing to take on fun challenges. They took the time to successfully pull off many requests such as: - My requests and timing for the ceremony music which included acoustic renditions of Harvest Moon, With a Little Help from my Friends and Here, There, and Everywhere. They also take care of the sound systems and mic set up for the ceremony. - An amazing live rendition of Touch Me by The Doors for our reception entrance - Another amazing live rendition of Come Sail Away by Styx for our first dance which transitioned into open dance floor for all guests - Helping me pull off a surprise outfit change/re entrance into the party which included allowing me to join the band to sing Just A Girl by No Doubt. My guests had nothing but great things to say about CC and applauded their crowd work and musical talent. I also highly recommend paying to add on the sax player. They were AMAZING and added the perfect touch. Overall, Champagne Casanova is completely worth it for your wedding. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

  • Serves South Windham, ME

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

Jenna was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding! We discovered her for our proposal in Maine and she did an amazing job so we decided to use her for our wedding in Austin! She put us at ease immediately and she was extremely prepared! On the day of the wedding she CRUSHED it! She knew exactly where and when to take photos and it’s like she knew exactly what the sun was going to do! She wrangled our two large families expertly and put up with some family members that don’t listen very well! She perfectly captured our wedding day and night! So much so that we were on the beach in Hawaii looking at our sneak peek photos rather than the humpback whales!! If you’re looking for someone to capture all of the special moments in your life, I highly recommend using Jenna!

Christophe is AMAZING! First off, he did a fantastic job with our engagement pictures last Summer- he got there early to scope out the scenery and lighting and had all of our pictures back in less than a week. He was proactive with communication up until the wedding to confirm times, locations, and photo lists for the weekend. He was prompt, organized and professional the whole time. One of our favorites is the amount of time he took to capture some small details of our big day that we would not have thought of. He really went above and beyond, and most importantly our photos are amazing and all back in less than 2 weeks! All our friends and family was super impressed with his work.

Bethany and Dan Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,400
  • Serves South Windham, ME

Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

Bethany and Dan Photography were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From our first interaction, their communication was clear, consistent, and friendly, putting us at ease immediately. The quality of their work was truly stunning - they captured the most interesting and intimate moments throughout the day in a way that felt like they were part of the family. Bethany and Dan made us and all of our guests feel so comfortable, allowing us to feel in control of our special day. We cannot recommend Bethany and Dan Photography more highly - they were an absolute pleasure to work with and the photos they delivered are ones we will cherish forever.

It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.

We met seven years ago in high school and have been together for the last three. At Cold River Photography, we believe that every image has a story to tell. We are a passionate team of photographers who are dedicated to capturing and preserving those unique moments that make life so beautiful. From breathtaking landscapes to intimate portraits, we have an eye for detail and a knack for capturing the essence of our subjects. Our mission is to create timeless and evocative photographs that not only showcase the beauty of the world but also evoke emotions and tell the story of each couples wedding day.

Words won’t be enough to capture how grateful I am for Kate and her beautiful photography! I had a poor experience with the first photographer I booked, so I was very nervous to find a new one! Kate was SO easy to work with and was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process, even when I would send last-minute crazy ideas. On the day of the wedding, Kate’s calm and warm energy quite literally helped me avoid a full blown panic attack (she successfully distracted me with pictures of a baby moose—George!!!). Kate was able to capture the most special moments of our day without anyone feeling like they were under a microscope. I look forward to working with Kate for any photography needs I have in the future!! 10/10 would absolutely recommend!!

They are absolutely wonderful people, who work with you from even before you book to help make your dream wedding come to life. They are responsive and supportive, and they go above and beyond to support couples during every stage of wedding planning. Each space (ceremony grove, small barn, big barn, farmhouse, fire pit) can be designed to match your vision, and the possibilities are endless! When my husband and I walked onto the property for our wedding weekend it genuinely felt like home to us, and there is no better feeling for the most special day of your lives. Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who don’t want a wedding rooted in tradition or a DJ who plays it safe. If you live somewhere between EDM, metal, or punk and want energy that actually builds through the night, this will make sense to you. You don’t need to edit yourself to fit a predetermined idea of how a wedding is supposed to sound. If you want to headbang, rave, or sing at the top of your lungs, there’s room for that here. The focus is momentum and feel. Not checking boxes.

Robert was one of the BEST choices we made for our 2024 wedding! From our first phone call, we knew he was special and would help make our day amazing. His attention to detail, his go with the flow attitude, and comedic timing as an MC made our guests feel comfortable and kept them on the dance floor. We made several changes in the moment and Robert was able to execute perfectly. I can’t recommend the Toasted brew enough, I can say confidently that if I were to plan our wedding again, Robert would be my first call.

Savage Wedding Co.

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves South Windham, ME

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who want their wedding to feel like themselves — not a performance, not a production, and not something they have to manage all day. I work with a balance of structure and flexibility: enough direction to keep things moving, and enough space for moments to unfold without forcing them. I don’t chase perfection or try to smooth out every edge. Some moments are quiet. Some are awkward. Some don’t fit neatly into a highlight reel — and that’s usually where the honest stuff lives. I don’t rush past those moments or reshape them to look like something else. I let things be.

I’m Michelle, a Portland, Maine based wedding and couples photographer. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, spent my college years and 20s in Boston, moved to New York City with my husband and now have found my way back to New England. I worked for eight years in event planning before going full-time with my photography business. I’m grateful for those eight years because they taught me so much that I’ve carried into managing my own small business. Beyond photography, I am an avid reader, love long bike rides, prefer the Monday crosswords, enjoy woodsy day hikes, and am always finding the nearest bookstore when we travel.

We worked with Gunnar’s Hotdogs for a community Holliday Market and they were wonderful! The hotdogs are amazing, the taste is great, and the toppings take the dogs to another level with both taste, texture, and esthetic! The unique style of dogs complimented the European Christmas market vibe we were going for with the event, couldn’t recommend enough!

Not only does it look exactly like the pictures, but you truly have access to the entire property. We used one of the barns for our rehearsal dinner and had lawn games going on outside. Matt was so helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed, and he really encouraged us to spend as much time on the property as we wanted. All of our vendors lit up when we told them we were having our wedding there & each spoke about how incredible Matt & Abby are. They truly truly care about you having your dream wedding here, and I cannot recommend them enough!

Ayden was absolutely amazing!! She made sure the day was as seamless as possible. It poured on my wedding day and that did not stop her! She was there for every single vendor. She took care of everything the day of, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She kept us on schedule and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be. She helped me with some last minute small details and didn’t even bat an eye. I HIGHLY recommend Ayden and Praks Planning to anyone who is getting married! Hi ya’ll! I’m Nat. I’m a southerner who’s recently moved to New England. I am thrilled to be a photographer and part of making memories with you! There is something truly special about being the person who creates lasting stories to share. My love for photography began when my great grandmother gave me her point and shoot camera, and since then, I have been hooked. Some of my favorite things include espresso tonics, thunderstorms, and bookstores. As a photographer, I live for the fleeting moments of light and stories. I do my best to capture those moments with my cameras, and I find great joy in doing so.

Awarded Best of Zola
I first met Natalie on the closing night of an art exhibit she and her work were apart of. She and I ended up grabbing a coffee a few days later and talking for I don't even know how long. It's this ease that has made working with her such a joy. Nat is easy to talk to and be around. She's kind, compassionate, and real. These qualities make it easy to be in front of her camera. Not only does she care about the images she's creating, but she cares deeply about how she makes her clients feel. She's open-minded, welcoming, and inclusive. She is a safe space. Nat's style is her own, developed with a lot of intention and thoughtfulness. If you're looking for a creative who is talented, grounded, and passionate, you've found her!

JD.FMV

5.0

  • Videographer
  • Cinematic style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves South Windham, ME

I have been producing short films for 8 years. I work with couples from Maine and New England to produce and edit wedding films that tell their unique stories. My areas of practice include theatre, photography, filmmaking, and livestreaming. My favorite part of my job is collaborating with local DJs, photographers, caterers, and filmmakers!

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with this videographer was an absolute standout experience. His eye for cinematic storytelling is next level. He didn’t just capture moments, he elevated them. Every frame was intentional, every cut had purpose, and the final film felt like something you’d see on the big screen, not just in a wedding album. What impressed me most was his ability to blend artistry with authenticity. From the emotional pacing to the way he used natural light, he brought the energy of the day to life without ever feeling staged or forced. As a DJ who works with a lot of creatives, I can confidently say his talent is rare. If you’re looking for someone who will go beyond documenting your wedding and actually craft a film that feels deeply personal and visually stunning, you’ve found your guy. The work speaks for itself.
