We have Bride and Grooms suites for wedding party preparations. The property of the barn is a combination of cypress ponds, pine forest, pastures, and a canopied creek. The property is very private and secluded. We are only 15 minutes from downtown Gainesville, but it feels a world away.

What an amazing venue. From the moment we found this location we knew we had the right place. The owners and staff were amazing. The venue offers everything you would need to have a successful event. My daughter's wedding was this past Saturday 4-12-2025 and she was married under the large live oak tree on property. The event space offers beautiful rooms for the bride and groom and their entourage to get ready comfortably. The catering staff has access to a large kitchen. The venue has tons of decorations available for use. The metal sign with the bride and groom's name on it is such a great keepsake and was a great center piece on the large firepit. The venue owners and staff helped make the day go seamlessly. I highly recommend the Barn at Deep Creek.

Sweetwater Branch Inn (SWB) went above and BEYOND to make my wedding weekend everything I had dreamed of—and more. If I could give SWB a million out of five stars, I absolutely would! My wedding was on March 16, 2025, and originally planned as an outdoor event. The team at SWB was incredibly flexible, allowing me to get creative with the venue and hold the ceremony and dinner in a different location than they usually do which was impressive in itself! Just days before the wedding, a storm was predicted to hit. At the last minute, we ordered a tent for the gardens (something that had never been done before), completely reworked the layout we had spent over a year planning, and somehow, everything turned out perfectly! Adrienne, the event coordinator, and Angel, the food and beverage coordinator, were nothing short of incredible. Adrienne went above and beyond, dedicating extra time and effort to ensure my vision came to life, even with the last-minute changes. Every single member of the staff was truly wonderful. My close family stayed at the Inn and didn’t want to leave! Guests traveled from Canada, New York City, and even Sydney, Australia—and every single one of them raved about their stay. From the friendly and helpful staff to the elegant decor and the delicious food (both at breakfast and the wedding!), they were beyond impressed. I cannot say enough great things about Sweetwater Branch Inn and the amazing event venue they provide. They do everything with heart, which is so rare these days—and that, above all, meant the world to me and my guests.

We had our wedding here in September 2024 and it beyond met our expectations. The venue itself was so beautiful and we had such a great experience with the staff! Everybody was so personable and helpful in making our day what it was! I could not recommend, this venue enough. If you were looking for an outdoor space, this is the one for you. It’s still provides wonderful coverage without sacrificing the feeling of being outside. The lighting was amazing and it really gave such a romantic atmosphere as the sun went down. The grounds also make a beautiful place for photographs!! This is a very special and intimate place for a wedding!

We got married here on one of the glass bottom boats (Chief Potackee, the ADA one) and it was incredible. I did all my communication with them (Mackenzie) thru email as this was a destination "elopement" style minimony for us. Communication was incredible, all my questions were answered promptly, the boat was lovely and they were super accommodating the entire day. Captain Bill was also super amazing and accommodating the day of the rehearsal. The boat ceremony was very untraditional which was super us and we loved- however I will note that if you're looking for the traditional aisle walk, with ceremony starting immediately afterwards, the boat may not be what you're looking for. There technically is a "bridal room" for getting ready, but it's only included if you also book the ballroom reception space. I got a hotel room at the Holiday Inn across the street and got ready there- which was totally fine. Bride, groom & all guests/vendors are requested to get there 30 mins early, to get everyone on the boat. Then bride (and father/whoever) walks to the boat. No music (wasn't a problem for us, probably could have been done if you're creative about it tho). There is a bit (10 - 15min) of a boat ride to the ceremony "staging" area, in which you cannot stand because the boat is moving. Once you get to the staging area, you can stand and the ceremony starts. When the ceremony is over, you sit again and have whatever time left of the hour to do a mini boat tour. I would 1000% recommend this experience to anyone looking for a nontraditional ceremony experience.

The Riverside house was not only gorgeous, but everyone there was so amazing and welcoming and it truly was the best spot to have our wedding! Deercreek Country Club was the perfect venue for our wedding! Their communication throughout the planning process was wonderful - they were very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The quality of their work and overall value was exceptional. The food was amazing, with the steak chimichurri and chicken marsala both being excellent. The venue itself was also incredibly clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. Truly such a good experience from start to finish. The food, staff, scenery, and overall experience was amazing. I cannot recommend Deercreek more highly! I included some pictures we got at the main reception area, and some pictures my husband and I got on the golf course!

We were very pleased with the professionalism of the sales and event planning team. The sales team went out of their way to accommodate our late request for a meeting. And the handoff to the event team was flawless. Our event coordinator was helpful when reviewing our options for food and drink selections and very responsive and flexible to our requests. Our experience with rooming requests and lists in other weddings (3) had not been great, but with this hotel and our event planner, everything was exactly correct and with all requests met. Our suite was the perfect size for entertaining all weekend. The food at the Welcome Party was beautifully displayed and delicious. The Duval room was the perfect size and the attending staff and bartender could not have done a better job. We also hosted a Farewell brunch and again the room size was perfect and the food was “best brunch food ever” as exclaimed by our guests. We would highly recommend this hotel !

Schuyler also designed St. Peter's Church in Fernandina, built in 1881, as well as chapels in Waldo, Fairbanks, Pablo Beach, and Lake Santa Fe. St. Andrew's was built in 1887 on a single level using brick masonry and contained a massive front corner tower with louvered belfry and steep spire roof. It stood at 317 Florida Avenue, now 317 A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. St. Andrew's was the only major church in the city that survived the Great Fire of 1901.
