Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists

We would 1000% recommend Windsor Mountain. The camp is beautiful, but we have to start with the staff. Gabby, our point person, was the kindest and most thoughtful human. We loved working with her. When we first toured the camp, we were sold not only by the setting, but by the fact that we would get to plan our weekend with her. In the months leading up to the wedding, we had a few meetings with Gabby to go over details and talk through our vision. She shared a full Google Drive for us with FAQs, room spreadsheets, food menus and more. We also attended a food tasting in the summer and got to tour the camp again. On the Friday morning before the wedding, we met with her and handed off everything. She and the entire camp staff took it from there so we did not have to think about a single thing all weekend. We had a perfect weekend. The staff were incredible, the food was delicious and our guests had so much fun. The location itself is stunning. The lake, the trees, the ceremony site, the cabins and buildings, open fields etc. made the entire camp feel peaceful, scenic and special. The lakefront treehouse for the couple to stay in is also beautiful. They have a solid rain plan, they worked with us to stay within our food budget and the activities are endless. There are a variety of cabins for guests and a house for those who may need extra amenities, such as elderly guests or parents with infants. Guests loved having access to the lake, zip line, ropes course, walking trails, etc. Windsor Mountain is amazing and we are so grateful we chose it.

I cannot recommend Four Winds Farm enough. Not only was our wedding perfect and unforgettable, but the whole weekend was so truly special. Ian and Bri went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true with such care and ease. Every single inch of Four Winds is gorgeous, you’ll have a hard time choosing where you want it all to happen! We also really appreciated the history and character of the barn, we barely had to decorate as the space was filled with memorabilia and fun details. It’s really the coolest spot. As we come up on our first anniversary, we’re wishing we could go back and relive it all!

Mayfair Farm

5.0

Harrisville, NH
  • Up to 160 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $16,000

In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Additional event staff required
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. Highest recommendation.

Our wedding at Field to Fork Farm felt like something out of a dream. Patrick and Daniela poured so much heart and soul into every detail — and when the skies suddenly opened up just as our ceremony was about to begin, they didn’t hesitate for a second. They welcomed all 75 of our guests into their home, offering warm homemade bread and cheese as we waited for the storm to pass. What could have been a moment of chaos instead became one of the most beautiful memories of our entire day — laughter and comfort shared in their cozy kitchen as rain fell softly outside. When the clouds finally cleared, we stepped out into the field to have the outdoor ceremony we had envisioned all along. The air felt fresh and full of magic, and from that moment on, the night unfolded perfectly — dancing, joy, and love all around us beneath the glow of the tent lights. Patrick and Daniela’s kindness, warmth, and grace made our day what it was — not just a wedding, but a feeling we’ll carry with us forever. If we could do it all over again, we’d choose Field to Fork Farm a thousand times over. It was everything we dreamed of, and more.

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Not wheelchair accessible

We had the most perfect wedding day at the Herb Lyceum. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and struggled to find a venue that welcomed smaller events. I came across The Herb Lyceum on Instagram and knew that this was the space for us. We held our wedding in the sunken garden, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. The space was magical. They have a beautiful bar and cocktail hour set up. The greenhouse was exactly how we envisioned our day to look like. We received several comments that our wedding had the best food and cocktails of any wedding guests had been to. We are so grateful to the Herb Lyceum team for making our day so special. Tavis was so helpful, responsive, organized and calm during the process, she made planning the event so easy. I couldn't recommend the Herb Lyceum enough, it really is a special place. When Shane and Wayne Bernard (Co-owners of Pica’s Pub and Grill est. 1939) were presented with the opportunity to expand next door into the building formerly occupied by Laschi’s Garden Center they jumped at it. They knew exactly what the area was missing and wanted to create a fun space with quality food, ice cream and a renovated greenhouse to hold private events and weddings to compliment their full service restaurant next door. Featuring several of their fan favorite items from next door, quality Italian Deli Sandwiches and Gifford’s Premium Ice Cream. They have provided ample parking and an amazing outdoor area for relaxing by the fire pit, a competitive corn hole match or just a spot to enjoy good times with friends and family. Cheers!

My husband and I got married here in September of 2024. We highly recommend having a wedding here! Karen is really friendly and helpful. We planned to have an outdoor ceremony but morning of we had to move it inside due to the weather, Karen made sure things went smoothly and made our day stress free! The recommendations for other vendors were good too! The barn was beautiful and really didn’t need a lot of decorations, great venue!

Saltonstall Farm

5.0

Stratham, NH
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $9,000

Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The owners are the third generation in their family to take care of the property and are very grateful to be the current stewards. The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Unique barn setting
  • Wheelchair accessible

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No all-inclusive dining options
Sophie and Kyle are down to earth, caring, and a joy to work with. We planned a wedding for June of 2020 and had to postpone the reception by a year, which was no problem at all. The farm is a truly idyllic setting, and the 5-story newly renovated barn is astoundingly beautiful and fully equipped for multimedia experiences. Everyone who attended our party had a well-deserved blast after sheltering in place for so long. Thank you, Saltonstalls! Best wishes for your new adventures. <3

The owner was on site throughout the process, helping with vendor deliveries and ensuring everything ran smoothly — from parking to sound and everything in between. The farm itself is a beautiful setting with dedicated spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and dancing. Our guests can’t stop talking about our wedding…the breathtaking views, the incredible food from the smoker, and the coffee bar everyone loved…and it’s all thanks to Harrington. From the moment you arrive, the beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but what truly sets it apart is how effortlessly they make everything come together. We wanted a place that could truly do it all so we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, and Harrington delivered in every way. The entire team worked tirelessly to make us feel special and ensure we had the best day possible. They went above and beyond for us and our 200 guests…making sure we always had food and drinks, checking in at all the right moments, and creating thoughtful touches that our guests are still raving about. And of course, a massive shoutout to our incredible coordinator, Lindsey. As the first in my family to get married, we had no idea what we were doing. Lindsey guided us every step of the way…answering every question, offering honest advice, and becoming a close friend and trusted guide throughout the process. We had our wedding at Wolfsburg farm this summer and it was spectacular! The outdoor ceremony location was breathtaking and the barn for the reception had that perfect rustic charm. The venue has PLENTY of space which makes for an amazing cocktail hour / hangout section. They set up a lounge space with rugs and chairs for our guests to hangout in and it was a big hit. The view from the field is GORGEOUS especially at sunset. We opted for the weekend package so our guests could camp overnight and hanging out with friends by the fire as the night winded down was something we will always cherish. Ashleigh and Andrew made the whole day so special and easy. Ashleigh helped with planning needs and coordinated everything so we didn’t have to focus on anything except enjoying our day. I can’t recommend this venue enough. You will have an amazing day you will never forget here.

Scott Farm Orchard

5.0

Dummerston, VT
  • Up to 120 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,500

The 571-acre Scott Farm, a The Landmark Trust USA property, is home to 130 varieties of ecologically-grown heirloom apples and other fine fruits, a seasonal Farm Market, and the Apple Barn Event Center. All 23 buildings on the property are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property. The Apple Barn accommodates up to 120 guests, has a commercial kitchen, three restrooms, one is wheelchair accessible. Overlooking the farm and mountains, a delightful spot for special occasions, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions. Exchange vows in the Courtyard or by a pond overlooking the apple orchard and stonewalls.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Natural elegance with open spaces
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • No on-site bridal suite
  • No in-house catering options
  • Does not provide event staff
My husband and I visited Scott Farm on two occasions before our June 2025 wedding and will continue to treasure it as a destination. The staff, especially Suzanne Tessitore, are absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to help us produce the (slightly alternative) wedding of our dreams. Our 80 guests could comfortably gather in the Apple Barn, by the brook, and at Naulakha for our send-off brunch the morning after. The natural beauty and calm of Dummerston combined with the beautiful, quirky features of the property like the stone walls and cafe bar really made the whole event feel like an escape from reality. We were able to rent all the houses on the property for ourselves and our immediate families, which was a great way to spend lots of time together (and have help close by on set-up day!). It was personally meaningful to me as a native Vermonter to share this state with our people, especially at a venue that encapsulates so many of the values and features that I love about it. I could go on and on! Some more key points: - We were a very (very) DIY couple and appreciated the control we were given for space usage, setup, and flow of the day -- we did not need a lot of hand-holding and we never felt like we were being "managed" - I have a family member who uses a wheelchair and he was able to get around the Apple Barn and surrounding grounds just fine - We ordered apple cider doughnuts from the farm as part of our wedding dessert and they were A - The vendors that Scott Farm suggested to us were all great, and as someone easily overwhelmed by decision fatigue I appreciated that in this relatively remote area there weren't too many options - Many of our guests were LGBTQIA and (not surprisingly for Vermont) were very comfortable - My father in law wanted to bake sourdough bread for our welcome dinner and Suzanne brought us her personal dutch oven for him to use!?! I would recommend Scott Farm as a venue for anyone looking for a naturally beautiful, simple venue highlighting the Vermont landscape and local food economy. We will treasure these memories forever.
