Eddie was very communicative leading up to our wedding date with making sure that we had at least 2 meetings leading up to our big day but that quickly changed after our event. The first meeting was to discuss the app we would use to upload all of our music. The second meeting was to let us know just 3 days before that Jorge would be stepping in as our DJ as Eddie had a funeral to attend. While Jorge was not one of Pueblo Event’s DJs we were assured by Eddie that he would brief him on what we discussed and vouched for him to be able to handle our event. However, on the actual date of our wedding my husband spent most of our reception talking to Jorge and telling him what songs to play and what the order of events would be. We also were not pleased with the music played as we had spent hours creating playlists for our cocktail hour, dinner, and dance as we had wanted a specific flow to our wedding and that was not followed. While cocktail hour and dinner music playlist was mostly followed, we had a few big hiccups. The first was that our first dance song was an edited version of the song which we never requested as we had spent weeks learning choreography so the timing and cues were off (it was noticed by guests). The next was that we had planned a baile del dollar for which we wanted an introduction as we had American guests who had never heard of this tradition. We did not get that introduction and a different song was played even when we had sent over a list to Jorge ahead of the wedding day. In addition to this our venue had a split dining area and dance floor for which we requested to have speakers so that the entire party could hear the music and announcements, but it was evident that an adequate sound check was not done and my husband let Jorge know many times as we had trouble even hearing speeches but to no avail. Once the dance floor opened up we had requested our playlist be followed to begin with our 70s songs, then 80s and up to our chosen contemporary songs. We asked that it be done this way as our older guests would likely leave early and we wanted to ensure we danced with them before they left. We did relay this during the last meeting with Eddie and Jorge and asked if they added any songs that they be kept in line with the same theme as what we had chosen in terms of genre. It seems that this was not followed as we had songs of very different genres playing and with mixing we did not ask for. While we would have been okay with this if the mixing had been well done it was not as Jorge missed many beat drops and we heard this criticism from many guests. Overall, it was not the smooth service we had been promised when booking with Eddie since my husband spent so much time telling Jorge what to do next. Had we not booked the service we would have been happier with a Spotify playlist and having a friend or the coordinator announce the flow of events and we would have saved ourselves a headache, stress and money. The next day following our event we scheduled a call with Eddie to let him know how displeased we were with the service we received given that we had a vastly different experience with him in which is seemed he was all about the details and communication. During that meeting he apologized for Jorge’s poor execution of the event and offered to give us a full refund. However, he only refunded half and has since stopped communicating with us despite many attempts from us.

DJ Eddie was a great host and kept the dance floor alive the entire night. He was very easy to work with and provided a lot of helpful suggestions that helped us plan the day of itinerary for our wedding reception. If you’re in the need for a DJ, this is your guy!

Pueblo Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was professional, quick, and flexible - exactly what we needed during the stressful wedding planning process. The team truly cared about making our day special and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our DJ, Eddie, was amazing - he was funny, engaging, and knew exactly how to keep the dance floor packed all night long. Many of our guests commented on his great energy and song selection. We are so grateful to Pueblo Events for helping make our wedding day perfect.
