Working with Emma was a dream! I emphatically recommend Blue Door. From the beginning, Emma was able to take my rambly words and translate them into a stunning vision for our wedding florals and aesthetic. She was so easy to work with - extremely communicative, transparent, and thoughtful. The florals took my breath away and almost every guest complimented them. From my bridal bouquet to the ceremony urns to the reception tables every detail was stunning. Her work is extremely elegant and elevated while still feeling whimsical and natural. She is truly an artist! Emma also went above and beyond - she was our Woodstock guru, providing guidance on details beyond florals. She also kindly checked in on me during stressful moments, offering emotional support.

I'm not quite sure where to begin in speaking about our incredible experience working with Emma for our August wedding, so I guess I'll start at the beginning! Emma came recommended to us by our amazing planner (Chelsea @ Wildfern Boutique), who raved about her work from a previous wedding and set up a call for us. As soon as I got on the phone with Emma, I knew I wanted to work together. She understood our vision right away, but even more than that, she genuinely seemed really excited by our ideas - our colors, little extra touches we wanted to include, and some cultural elements that were unique to our wedding. With every follow up call, mock-up, design deck etc. that followed, we got more and more excited about the vision of the day. Honestly, we asked for a lot - big wedding, lots of tables, extra little things here and there - and Emma executed absolutely everything perfectly, better than I could have imagined. Truly, we could not be happier with what she created for our wedding day. We got the ceremony space of our dreams, complete with the perfect basket vessels, sourced by Emma. Our reception space looked even better than we had imagined it, again with the perfect aged terracotta vessels and just stunning centerpieces. She even made 15 (!!!) floral crowns for my bridal party, flower girls, and my mom and mother-in-law. These pieces helped add such a special moment to our wedding day, and I'm SO glad to have worked with Emma who was supportive and excited about the idea from the start. I really can't say enough how over the moon we were with everything Emma provided for our wedding. It was magical, and everything we ever could have wanted.

Emma and the Blue Door Flower Company was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first consultation, they were incredibly communicative, responsive, and helpful in guiding us through the process of selecting the perfect florals. Their attention to detail and creativity truly shone through in the final product - the bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony decor were all absolutely stunning and perfectly matched the vision we had for our wedding day. The team at Blue Door was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond, even sourcing a hard-to-find calla lily variety for my bridal bouquet. We were blown away by the beauty and quality of their work, and felt we received excellent value for the investment. We would highly recommend Blue Door Flower Company to any couple looking for a florist that delivers both beautiful designs and a wonderful customer experience.

Emma. She’s an artist and a visionary. Floral design is her calling. She poured her heart and soul into making The Inn at Weathersfield the most magical, romantic wedding of my dreams. I wanted to surround myself by gifted vendors with a passion for their craft and Emma’s passion shined brightly every step of the way. She was organized, responsive, and brought fantastic ideas to the table. We spoke early on about incorporating a hanging flower structure above the head table. We shared ideas back and forth, and I trusted her completely to create something stunning. The piece she created far surpassed what I imagined. It brought me to tears. The tables were perfectly filled in with tasteful bud vases, and Emma recommended a classy, long lasting tapered candle in the color ‘desert rose’. She also recommended I buy a variety of 10” and 12” candles which ended up looking gorgeous. I knew I wanted a short ceremony and didn’t want Emma to spend time on florals at the ceremony site, so she suggested we add ferns. I had three to bring from my personal house plant collection and we also added Boston, blue star, birds nest and deer foot ferns. Emma collected baskets for the ferns and filled the ceremony site with greenery. She hung some long, dangly asparagus ferns on two light fixtures on either side of my husband and me. A lovely, thoughtful touch. My bouquet was divine. A perfect collection of pink, white and blush blooms with some dainty ferns spilling over the sides. Jasmine. Peonies. Perhaps my favorite flower in the mix ended up being the white sweet pea with lavender edges. Dreamy. I also asked Emma if she’d create an arrangement in my grandfather’s crystal compote to be displayed at my parents’ table. It was so special and made my mom and I feel like he was with us at the wedding. Every ounce of Emma’s creations made my heart explode. I’m tearing up again as I write this. She is a goddess of floral design and I cannot wait to continue to watch her create this beauty for others.
