Rabbi and Cantor Jill Hausman

Rabbi Jill, the Rabbi/ Cantor of the historic Actors' Temple in Manhattan, has been joining loving couples of all faiths and genders for many years. It is a privilege for me to help you honor each other, to declare the love that joins you, and to share in the joy that your marriage brings to the world. Whether your wedding plans are big or small, traditional or contemporary, Rabbi Jill will help you create the perfect ceremony and make your wedding a truly beautiful, inspiring, spiritual, and joyous occasion. Jewish weddings and all interfaith ceremonies with co-officiant clergy, and as a sole officiant, are Rabbi Jill's specialty.

I’m a warm and open rabbi who loves to take the time to get to know couples and to craft ceremonies that are personal and meaningful for them, reflecting their love. I am happy to marry same-sex (LGBT) couples and I’m available for all life-cycle events. Once I begin to work with you I am always there for you. The most important thing to me is that religion be welcoming to everyone. I believe that clergy should be an example of acceptance and love.

Description

My Full Wedding Package includes a preliminary meeting, contact by phone and email all during the planning process, a second longer meeting to finalize all the details and the ceremony, and also to get to know each other better, my transportation and my lovely chuppah are included.

    Rabbi Jill did an amazing job blending together my Jewish background and my Wife's Italian-Catholic heritage. She worked hand-in-hand with the deacon to craft the perfect wedding ceremony, helped us pick out an appropriate interfaith Ketubah, and offered a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria during the processional.
