How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Typically, couples book me up to 18 months before their wedding or elopement date. I can occasionally accommodate bookings up to 3 months in advance for elopements, smaller weddings, or courthouse weddings. Especially for ceremonies taking place outside of Oregon, Washington, or the United States. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. I sometimes have weekends available last minute and weekdays are almost always free.

Will you edit all our pictures?

I edit all of your BEST photos (and there will be many!). All final images will be professionally edited by me, not an outside company. So if you have any questions I will be able to best assist you.

Do you also offer video services?

I do not offer video at this time, however, I have a list of vendors I could recommend!

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

My turnaround time varies by season, but all weddings and elopements will receive a sneak peek gallery within 24-48 hours of your big day. These sneak peek galleries typically include close to fifty images from throughout your day. During slower months my turn around for a full gallery is closer to four weeks, and during my peak season the turn around is closer to eight. Why does it take that long? I pride myself in my attention to detail and spoiling my couples with MASSIVE galleries. If your gallery looks like it's going to take closer to that eight week mark, then I'll send you an additional sneak peek gallery after your first month.

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

Sometimes events are out of our control. It's stressful when that happens, but rest assured I have backups on backups of trusted industry professionals (who I have worked with a vetted) that I have on speed dial in case of an emergency. I promise you will not be left without a photographer, and I will spare no expense to get them where they need to be.

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Sometimes! I feel comfortable and confident to shoot your celebration on my own, but for larger weddings, a second shooter is highly recommended or required. I have a short list of photographers I have trained to match my style, and they will only improve your overall gallery by capturing additional angles and moments that I was unable to.

How do you protect our images?

For all of my weddings I always bring two cameras and record to multiple memory cards. All of my sd cards are at a maximum two years old to prevent any issues. After the wedding, I place the memory cards in a fully waterproof, hardshell container, and store them in a safe environment until I can successfully back them up to my computer. Once I sort the images I store two copies on my computer and one copy on an external hard drive. Finally, once I deliver the images to you and your partner, it is up to you to save them on your computer, Google photos, Dropbox, etc. In my three years photographing weddings, I have NEVER lost a single photo.

Will you help us with our timeline?

Yes! Absolutely! All of my couples can schedule a planning call with me once they have booked their wedding or elopement. It's your day, I'm just there to guide you.

Do you travel for weddings or elopements?

Travel is one of my love languages. With two decades of travel experience (both living and traveling abroad), rest assured you’re not dealing with an amateur. Whether it’s your first time abroad or you’re seasoned travelers yourselves, I’ll guide you every step of the way, helping to plan your trip, researching thoroughly in advance, and even arriving early to scout locations. I'm confident troubleshooting on the go and always have backup plans to ensure your journey is seamless and stress-free.
