This is all a dream. At 39 I bought a $50 camera off ebay just because. Almost immediately I won an award, started participating in galleries, and was publised online. After a few years of being encouraged by others, I made the decision to go full time. There's a lot of special moments for me when I photograph weddings. I get to be in best position to see everything from every angle.

I work harder and longer, I'm told by wedding DJ's and venue staff. I don't settle for any shot, I am constantly moving and pivoting for unique angles and to surprise people with shots they don't even know I take. My name is on every photo and it's serious for me to try hard every time. However, I insist on everyone having a good time. Weddings are stressful and getting photos taken can be awkward. It is important to me that people feel as comfortable as possible. I cannot help my constant flow of dad jokes.I have been told at every wedding I do that people wish they had as much fun with their wedding photographer.
