Hey, I’m Alex—founder of Redwood Weddings and your behind-the-scenes bestie for all things planning. I didn’t grow up dreaming about weddings, but I did grow up organizing, (lovingly) bossing people around, and making sure everyone was taken care of. Turns out, those were all the signs. What started as a summer job at a Napa winery turned into a full-heart business here in Wisconsin. Now, I lead a team of detail-loving, down-to-earth planners who are obsessed with creating weddings that feel like magic—not cookie-cutter, just wildly you.
We like to say we’re your wedding planning scapegoats. When you need backup on a tricky decision or boundary, “my planner told me to do it” is basically our motto. What really sets us apart is how invested we are in both the logistics and the emotions of your day—we’re equal parts spreadsheet nerds and vibe protectors. From wrangling the wedding party to making sure you actually eat dinner, we’re the team keeping your day grounded, joyful, and totally stress-free.

There are NO WORDS to describe how amazing Redwood Weddings was to work with leading up to our wedding. Alex was incredibly helpful during the planning process in answering my random questions and giving advice. Our lead coordinator, Katie, who I called my "emotional support animal" lead us through the final 3 months of planning with ease, to ensure that our day was executed flawlessly with our experience as well as the guest logistics/experience in mind. On the wedding day, she was worth her weight in gold- she made my vision come to life, ensured that I was stress-free all day, and was such a kind and calming presence that even my family members took note on how amazing she was! I would recommend Redwood Weddings to everyone and my dream wedding would have never been possible without them throughout the whole process. I cannot say enough good things about these amazing ladies. Book them, you won't regret it!!!

Hiring Alex for full service planning was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. We worked together for nearly two years and throughout that time, she was organized, detail-oriented, and helped us curate a rehearsal, welcome party, and wedding that our guests still rave about. She made us feel comfortable throwing around our crazy ideas from day one and helped us tailor them into a vision. On our wedding day, Alex made sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and truly made us feel like we were the guests of honor. It was amazing knowing we had someone we trusted 100% to advocate for us throughout the planning process & on our wedding day. Alex helped bring our vision to life even better than we could have imagined. We can confidently say that the weekend would not have been so perfect without her overseeing it all. Throughout the process, Katie was calm, reassuring, reliable, and level-headed, and was the perfect match for us! Katie managed our sometimes chaotic, procrastinator approach to wedding planning, honoring all of our ideas and preferences and offered the perfect advice and structure when needed. She did a ton of work behind the scenes leading up to the day as well as throughout the wedding day to make everything flow effortlessly. We were able to be completely present throughout our day - completely stress-free. From making a much-needed morning-of itinerary for the groom, to re-arranging ceremony chairs according to a picky bride's preference, Katie knew exactly what we needed and perfectly balanced the necessities of a wedding with honoring our unique personalities and wishes. We would recommend Katie and Redwood a million times over and are so grateful this team helped us bring our wedding to life!

Our wedding day would have been a complete horror without Katie! Katie was not only super helpful, resourceful, and available prior to our wedding day, but she was the calm in the literal storm on our wedding day. We were originally planning on having our ceremony outside as the radar was clear and she knew this was my ultimate goal, but plans quickly changed at the beginning of the ceremony. Our indoor space was already set up for the reception, but her and her team had it flipped, guests sat, and looking absolutely BEAUTIFUL within 10 minutes. She killed that and also ensured my husband and I were totally taken care of all day, whether that be eating, drinking water (and booze of course), and feeling good with how things were going. When I look back on our wedding day, I know it all went so well because of Katie! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
