With extensive experience in event coordination and Catering Sales Management at both Marriott and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, we understand the intricacies of seamless event planning. Our diverse background also includes independently organizing and planning various weddings and events, showcasing our dedication and skills.

If I could give Shelby more than five stars, I would — she truly deserves 1000% of the credit for making my wedding day absolutely perfect. From the very beginning, Shelby was organized, calm, thoughtful and incredibly attentive. She anticipated needs before I even knew I had them, kept everything running seamlessly behind the scenes, and allowed me to be fully present and actually enjoy every moment of my wedding day — completely stress free. On the day of the wedding, every detail was handled flawlessly, the timeline ran smoothly, and if anything went wrong, I genuinely never knew about it. Her professionalism, kindness and steady presence made such a difference not just for me, but for my family, wedding party and vendors as well. What truly sets Shelby apart is how much she cares. She treated our wedding as if it were her own and made me feel supported, confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Because of her, I was able to focus on what mattered most — marrying my favorite person and soaking in one of the best days of my life. If you’re even considering hiring Shelby as your wedding coordinator, stop looking and book her immediately. It was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding, and I cannot recommend her enough.
Best Wedding Planner!
When we first started talking about it, we knew planning a wedding from four states away would be difficult but until we really got into the details we had no idea how involved it would be. We quickly realized we needed a dedicated planner and are so grateful we found Shelby. She made the whole process fun and immediately jumped in and helped. She was flexible and was willing to schedule around our work times for zoom calls and check ins every few weeks as we worked out all the details. She coordinated with vendors and organized timelines and packing lists including many things we would not have thought of. Her level of communication was fantastic and we could always reach out with questions as we thought of them. When it came time for wedding weekend Shelby and her assistant were amazing and coordinated everything perfectly. We had everything we need and I’m sure they handled a few hiccups while allowing us to have fun and enjoy our wedding. We cannot recommend The Southern Planner enough to anyone looking for a great service.
A Detailed and Chill Planner... Yes, Please!
I worked (as the florist) with Shelby at a wedding recently, and I would absolutely recommend her to any bride looking for a wedding planner. She was great to work with and made things super easy on the day of. Communication was great. She was quick to get me any info I asked for, and she was ready to help with whatever I needed. I love a detailed but chill planner, and Shelby was exactly that! I would happily work with her again!
