About this venue

Lovingston Winery is a weekend wedding venue that prioritizes slowing down and enjoying time with those that you love. With all of our packages we include 2 nights at our historic 1906 farmhouse and charming log cabin. These spaces allow for up to 16 guests to stay on property with you throughout the weekend. In addition, there are sweeping views of mountains, vineyards, pastures, and pond that can be viewed from our ceremony sites. When it's time for dinner, you can take a beautiful stroll to our newly constructed Tupelo House. This reception space allows for you to take in the setting sun while enjoying the high end touches like chandeliers, open frame timber, and a massive 8' wide fireplace. There is so much to see that we encourage you to visit us for a tour.

The Tupelo House

A space for your reception

The Tupelo House is an elevated barn style space with modern flourishes. We created this space to provide protection from the elements, while still highlighting the property. Once in the Tupelo, you can take in the sunset through 32' wide barn doors to as you enjoy dinner. You will find soft gold lighting fixtures, exposed diagonal framing, and an 8' wide fireplace. This space alludes to our roots in farming while balancing a modern and chic feel, allowing you to take the space in any direction.

The Farmhouse

This historic 1906 serves as the heart of the property and bridal suite.

This lovingly restored farmhouse can sleep up to 10 guests. Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms. On the main floor, you will find the final bedroom that also serves as the bridal suite. The home has 2 king beds, 1 queen bed and 2 full beds. There are also 3 full bathrooms and vanities. The home also boasts a high end kitchen with 2 ovens and Viking stovetop. Surrounding the home, there are several outdoor areas perfect for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dining, and relaxing with friends.

The Cabin

Cozy, yet high end cabin with some of the best mountain and vineyard views on property.

This renovated cabin has room for up to 6 guests. This mountain escape has a primary suite with full bathroom and two additional bedrooms that share a full bath in the hall. The cabin has a beautiful kitchen and open concept living room to allow for a comfortable place to enjoy the weekend. The front porch has some of the best mountain views with incredible sunrises. The backyard has a large deck and charcoal grill. In the yard you will find a fire pit and plenty of room for yard games.

    My husband and I had our wedding at Lovingston in June. We loved every minute of the day in large thanks to Tessa and Wes. It was the perfect venue for us; intimate, serene, and natural. We stayed on site throughout the weekend in their beautiful homes that mix the rustic charm of the area and modern amenities so well. It was extremely comfortable and very convenient for us and our loved ones to stay on site. Family and friends are so important to us and we felt like this venue really allowed us to spend immense quality time with them. We received endless compliments on the venue and could not have agreed more with our guests, it was perfect. Tessa was super easy to communicate with and we felt we were in great hands. She and Wes were flexible with our plans and helped us to remain stress free on the day. We even visited the site in person a few times before the wedding to prepare, taste wine, and visit Arnie and Hank. Tessa provides a phenomenally helpful list of recommended vendors, many of which we used for our day. We cannot sing their praises highly enough and recommend using Lovingston Winery as your venue 1000%. We can't wait to come back and visit!

    No need to look any further this is the perfect venue! Lovingston winery is the perfect setting to tie the knot. One of the most unique aspects of this venue is the onsite lodging. My wedding party loved staying on property. It took away so much stress having everyone wake up on the property the day of the wedding. The Tupelo house was was the perfect canvas to design a gorgeous reception. It even stayed nice and cool inside for my June wedding! Could not recommend Lovingston more!

    This venue couldn’t have been more perfect. The venue really makes the wedding and I’m so glad we picked Lovingston Winery! It was such a treat to have the farmhouse, cabin, and the Tupelo house for the whole weekend. I loved how the venue felt like it tucked up against the woods and had such pretty views of the rolling hill in central VA. The farmhouse was so cozy and fit my entire family for the weekend. We loved drinking coffee underneath the trellis and looking at the mountain views. The big bridal suite was perfect - the photos I have in front of the giant bay windows look so ethereal. I also loved the shower! The wall jets were so luxurious! Walking from the farmhouse to the ceremony spot (we picked by the Tupelo house) with my parents was such a special moment. I’m glad we never had to drive anywhere. My husband stayed in the cabin on Friday night and we used it as our honeymoon suite on Saturday night. Similarly, it was so easy to escape back to our cabin in the woods from the reception. The Tupelo house was so spacious and beautiful - we loved the fireplace, the big wooden beams, the rich rugs, and giant barn doors. We opened the barn doors up for the mountain views even though it made the room a little warm for dancing. It was worth it to feel like we were bringing the outside in and so that our guests could wander and mingle outside (my brother-in-law brought cornhole boards, which folks actually really enjoyed!). Our guests loved the rose! Tessa and Wes were both so responsive and helpful. My mom accidentally broke the garbage disposal on Friday and they showed up immediately and fixed it (don’t put entire vegetables down the garbage disposal). They’re so kind and easygoing, which is much needed energy for a wedding weekend. I’m so grateful we picked Lovingston and had the venue Friday to Sunday morning - the weekend already goes by too quickly. My only regret is that we didn’t book the farmhouse AirBnB for Thursday night!

    We truly can't say enough great things about Lovingston Winery. We initially picked it as our wedding venue because of the beautiful property, the scenic views, and how kind and passionate the owners are about how special this place is. Tessa was very communicative throughout the planning process; always willing to answer our questions. During our wedding weekend we were so well taken care of. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. It's the perfect place for those looking for a relaxed, peaceful, slow wedding weekend!
