The best wedding venue in sacramento!!

We got married here in May of 2025, and I could not recommend this venue enough! This will likely be a long review, but if you are engaged and looking for a wedding venue, it is worth the read. Scribner Bend was the best option we could have chosen for our wedding, and I am so glad we did. Tldr: This venue works to save you money, has an attentive and detail oriented staff, and offers a lot to justify the price! The biggest standout was how committed the staff and team are to making sure you get the best value from your wedding. - They cut fees without us asking (there was initially an outside vendor % fee that they changed to a flat price, or that %, whichever was lower) - They worked with us to get what we wanted out of our wedding without additional costs (letting us substitute a red wine for sangria and a white wine for the sparkling almond without an upcharge, letting us know how to get a vegetarian option for our guests without having to pay for an additional main course, allowing us to bring in things that the venue doesn't provide at no extra cost, etc.) - they allowed us to make changes to our headcount before making the final payment. The wedding industry is FULL of people who know they can throw in extra fees without repercussion, and Scribner bend is not like that at all. - They honored the venue and catering price we signed under, even though we got married almost 2 years after signing. They did this without us asking. - The venue also processed and sent the refund of our deposit by the time we got back from our honeymoon. Additionally, the staff and service overall was amazing. They remembered us by face every time we went into the tasting room, they were reachable with questions and had a wonderful response time(and I had a LOT of questions since I did not have a planner), and it was clear that they wanted to make the wedding process easy for us. Our wedding coordinator was extremely knowledgeable on everything (from venue details to the best time to call an uber back home), and she coordinated so well with Rain from Paesanos. She actually ran our wedding rehearsal better than full service planners i've seen at other weddings. The team offered well-planned options for day-of logistics, but were 100% on board with our updated vision for the day, and made it come to life at no extra cost. Scribner bend is also an easy venue to get married at. The grounds are naturally beautiful, so the only florals we bought were my bouquet to hold, and flowers for our tables. This saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. The venue is private (and the tasting rooms are closed by the time of the wedding) so you never run the risk of wedding crashers. The getting ready bungalow was HUGE. We were able to do florals and candles, have two make up artists, AND have private places to relax and get dressed without being overcrowded (and I had a huge wedding party). My husband loved the air stream as well, but I still still think the bungalow was better :). They had a good relationship with Celebrations party rentals, where my husband and I were able to customize our rentals, but still get them through Scribner Bend at a slightly lower cost (fewer fees!). I thought we were going to feel like the 11pm stop time was too early, but it actually made sure the party went until the very end, and allowed us time to say goodbye to our loved ones without feeling like we were missing any part of the evening. I would recommend Scribner bend 100 times over!

We got married at Scribner Bend in June. This venue is gorgeous with tons of greenery and florals which cut down on decor costs for us. It is set up perfectly with a separate ceremony, cocktail hour and reception space. We knew immediately after touring that we would not find anything better! They provided a preferred vendor list which led me to an amazing photographer, florist and DJ who all added to the magic of the day. Paisanos catering was incredible as well. Guests could not stop talking about the pesto tortellini for days after! Their team communicated well and provided a lot of insight and help on the day of. Highly recommend Scribner Bend for your wedding!

Scribner Bend Vineyards was truly the perfect choice for our wedding venue, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the very first time we reached out, the team made us feel supported and cared for. They answered every single question with patience and detail, and they provided us with so much helpful information that made the planning process feel far less overwhelming. What really stood out was how they checked in with us at every milestone, making sure we felt confident and that everything was on track. That kind of attentiveness gave us such peace of mind leading up to the big day. When the wedding day finally arrived, the venue was nothing short of breathtaking. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the vineyard setting created the most romantic backdrop we could have imagined. Everywhere we looked, there were thoughtful details that made the space feel warm, inviting, and elegant. Scribner Bend Vineyards was one of the last wedding venues that we toured in March of 2024, and the moment we walked the beautiful grounds and got a feel for the flow of how our wedding day would look, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We were luckily enough to lock in a Saturday in October of 2025. We not only fell in love with the natural beauty of the property, but we were impressed by how kind and welcoming all of the staff were (Shaye at the time and then Hillary), greeting us with their amazing signature almond champagne. Since we had over a year to plan our wedding, we were able to attend 2 wedding open houses hosted at Scribner Bend and the staff greeted us so warmly, remembering our names and making us feel right at home. We also got to know some of their incredible preferred vendors such as Jackie’s Flowers, Rain from Paesanos Catering, and the Elegant Events Media Team. They continued to be great to work with, super communicative, flexible, and open to any and all ideas that we had to execute our wedding vision flawlessly. Leading up to wedding day and at our rehearsal practice, the day of coordinator, Hillary, was so great and organized, making us feel at ease and confident for anything that wedding day could throw at us. Scribner Bend Vineyards could not have been a more stunning wedding venue. The Bungalow was a great spot for getting ready and it was so fun to hang out with the girls and watch the guests arrive through the window on the upper level of the house. The vineyard was absolutely gorgeous, golden hour in the vineyard was dreamy, guests loved all of the various seating areas throughout the whole night to chat with family and friends. The food was so delicious and well organized. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating (Hillary brought champagne for us after we walked back down the aisle before we escaped for our sunset photos, the Paesanos catering team fixed us plates of appetizers and dinner and set up our sweetheart table with everything that we needed). Our grand entrance through the barn doors onto the dance floor with the guests circled around the hedges was a major highlight, and the fountain filled with flowers was picture perfect. It has meant the world to us to hear that so many of our guests who attended our wedding have been telling us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Overall, we would so highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for anyone, we would 1000% get married here again. We will be recommending it to all of our friends in the hopes that one day we will get to be the guests at such an awesome wedding venue. Will add more pictures of the venue itself on our wedding day once we get more professionals back :)

While not required, we highly recommend hiring a professional planner or month-of coordinator. A good coordinator keeps everything on track from managing your timeline, vendors, and ceremony cues. This way your loved ones can enjoy the day. Not planning to hire one? Assign someone you trust to handle key setup details like a seating chart, table decor, welcome signage, etc. It’s just as important to designate someone to collect and pack these items at the end of the night to load them into a car. Need a referral? We’re happy to connect you with trusted coordinators who match your budget. We’re still happy to lead your rehearsal and ceremony!

Your SBV Venue Lead will be the main face for Scribner Bend Vineyards on your wedding day. They oversee vendor arrivals and ensure the venue is clean and set up according to plan. They stay in close contact with vendors and staff to resolve any issues smoothly. They maintain safety, enforce venue rules, and monitor the condition of event items throughout the celebration. At the end of the night, they supervise cleanup and lock-up, ensuring the celebration concludes just as seamlessly as it began.

Any responsibilities beyond our team’s scope, such as setting up or collecting personal belongings, packing vehicles, or handling items like gifts and décor, should be assigned to a coordinator (with a prior plan in place) or a designated family member or friend. If you did not hire a planner, all setup and breakdown of personal items and décor will be the responsibility of someone you’ve chosen—typically a trusted relative or friend.

If you choose to forego hiring a planner, one of our experienced SBV team members will run you through your wedding rehearsal.

Not at all! Our experienced Events Team will set up all included tables and chairs according to your requested layout. If you rent or bring in different tables or chairs, we will make sure they are where they need to be as well.

Your designated End of Evening (parents, wedding party attendants) person is responsible for gathering and packing any decorative items you brought with you, including gifts, cards, guest book, and signs. Our crew will take care of all the heavy lifting, cleaning, and trash.

While we do include wine glasses, we do not include any linens, place settings, etc – we want to make sure that you get just the colors and styles you want! Linens, place settings, flatware, water glasses, champagne flutes, and anything else for your tables can be coordinated through Paesanos. They partner with a local company, Celebrations Party Rentals, to bring you easy access to a huge selection of items, colors, and styles. You are also welcome to rent items on your own if you so choose, but most of our couples find it much easier to go through Paesanos.

We have just enough 8′ and 6′ tables for a traditional head table or King’s table. If you’d like all your guests seated at long tables, you can rent additional tables through a rental company. We have a great list of preferred vendors that you can reach out to.

Due to our liquor license, hard alcohol is not allowed anywhere on property. This includes in the Bungalow and Airstream Lounge.

You can absolutely have a dry wedding! If this is an option you are interested in, please let us know, and we’ll provide pricing for you.

The ONLY required vendor is Acoustic Events Catering. You are welcome to choose any other vendors that fit you best, whether they are on our list or not. If you choose a vendor that isn’t on the list though, there is a Non-Preferred Vendor Fee of 5% to that vendor. This 5% is based on your contract rated with that vendor. You should discuss this with vendors prior to entering into a contract with them – if their pricing doesn’t allow room for the vendor fee, then the fee will be added to your wedding contract with SBV as your responsibility to pay.

Yes, we require all weddings to purchase wedding insurance. We recommend WedSafe or The Event Helper as they are very easy to use.

225 guests April–October, 125 guests in March and November.

With the exception of holidays we are open to the public year round. However, we only book weddings beginning mid-March until mid-November.
