From wildflowers to scenic mountain vistas, Skibowl is a one-of-a-kind, FUN venue, offering an array of services and accommodations for your wedding guests. After arriving to your reception mountain-style (aka Alpine Slide), dance the night away under the stars (and twinkly lights, of course) on the outdoor patio, adjacent to your Reception Tent. Keep the festivities going all weekend long, from surrounding area hikes, to paddle boarding Trillium Lake, to hosting a post-wedding brunch the morning after. From a seasoned catering team to an onsite day of coordinator, you'll be in good hands at Skibowl, with lots of guidance along the way!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic yet refined style
  • Has a dance floor for celebration
  • Offers full-service amenities

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
The team at Mt. Hood Skibowl was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. They were responsive, friendly, and provided detailed information throughout the planning process. The venue itself offered incredible views and an open, spacious event space that was perfect for the celebration. Each member of the Skibowl staff we encountered, both before and during the wedding day, was warm and communicative. When we had questions about accessing the ceremony site, they provided excellent guidance. The staff also consistently checked in on not only the guests, but the vendors as well making sure everyone had what they needed. Working with the Skibowl team felt more like being part of a community than just working with vendors. We can't wait to have the opportunity to document another wedding at this gorgeous venue!

I have hosted, and decorated a number of events in this space. The PDX Suite Spot is spacious, with beautiful exposed brick walls and large windows to view the “Portland” sign from inside. This space has room for VIP’s, Kitchen, DJ’s and more. There are elevators to take you to the second floor or a stairway that leads up with no issues. The hosts are just as kind. and professional. Communication is always returned within a reasonable time frame. I have also witnessed the host help setup for an event when the coordinators were late. This is definitely the type of over and above service I am looking for when choosing a venue to host my events. I highly recommend The Suite Spot and hope you’ll give them a chance as well.
