Nathaniel Johnston has had the pleasure of capturing beautiful images of scores of weddings. Nathaniel was the groom in his own wedding in 2009 in Santa Barbara with his wife Caroline, which was photographed by two good friends, both professional photographers. Nathaniel and Caroline moved back to New York City in 2011, and have three little girls. After years as a photographer, he created NJohnston Photography, and most recently focused his attention on NJohnston Weddings.

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.
