David was absolutely amazing, and we truly could not have had a better experience. We did not start looking for officiants as early as the other vendors, and I was feeling a bit stressed about it, but David made the process as easy and seamless as possible. He worked with us leading up to the event to make sure that the ceremony felt like us and was happy to make any adjustments we wanted even right up to the event. We really appreciated that we could be as much or little involved in the details of the ceremony as we wanted. The ceremony was beautiful - not only did we think David was amazing, but we got so many compliments from our guests as well (and he also took care of all the paperwork which was very much appreciated so we could focus on all the other important things). We feel so fortunate that we chose to work with David for our wedding - could not recommend him enough.

Lauri was fantastic to work with and we are so grateful we found her. She was a caring a nurturing presence throughout, was very receptive to our requested changes as we planned the ceremony script, and was clearly motivated by doing what would be right for us. She met with me and my fiance about four times during our wedding planning process to get to know us and modify our ceremony plan/script to what spoke most to us most as a couple. She was knowledgable about a variety of cultural traditions and helped us incorporate the Irish Hand Fasting Blessing into our ceremony, providing us with an everlasting, unique memory and memento (the handfasting chord) of our promises to each other. We received several compliments from our wedding guests about Lauri's ease and professionalism while she officiated our wedding. We highly recommend her! - Tess, May 2025 Bride, Bill Miller's Castle

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant for our big day! From start to finish, Jess was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to really get to know us, and it showed in every word of the ceremony. It was personal, heartfelt, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of humor to keep everyone smiling. One of the things that made the ceremony even more special was that she’s bilingual. She incorporated both languages, making sure all of our guests felt included and connected. It meant so much to us and our families, and added such a beautiful touch to the ceremony. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the ceremony was, and thats all thanks to the way Jess made it feel so genuine and unforgettable. On the day of, she thoughtfully wore a dress that matched our wedding colors, which was a nice detail. Rabbi Noyo - Officiant

Newton, MA

  • Serves Connecticut

Rabbi Noyo (Rabbi Sarah Noyovitz) is a warm, inclusive, and creative officiant based in Boston, MA. She crafts meaningful, personalized wedding ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds - Jewish, interfaith, non-religious, queer, poly, and beyond. Whether you want something simple or symbolic, she will collaborate with you to make it feel deeply “you.” She brings care, clarity, and joy to every celebration and believes your love deserves to be honored with intention.

Awarded Best of Zola
Rabbi Noyo is the best! Hire her now. More context: We hired Rabbi Noyo to officiate our interfaith wedding in September 2024. We wanted to add some jewish elements to our wedding but did not know what our options were beyond breaking the glass and the Chuppah. Rabbi Noyo was understanding and patient with us - she took the time to really get to know me and now husband, our history, what we love about one another, etc. She also encouraged us to have important, difficult conversations leading up to the wedding, which she cleverly coined as 'pillow talk'. This helped strengthen our bond and us feel completely secure and ready for our upcoming nuptials. In additional to these sessions, Rabbi Noyo also took the time to explain the various elements that could be incorporated leading up to and during the ceremony, the significance behind them, and even provided information on where to learn more/buy items. She never pressured us or made us feel badly for skipping ceremony components and even provided alternative language for blessings that felt more like us. She also provided input on our program, reviewed our vows, and even had printed copies ready for us during the ceremony. Rabbi Noyo made our wedding ceremony truly perfect. Her words during the ceremony were BEAUTIFUL, heartfelt, and funny. She knew the little things that mattered (including setting expectations ahead of the ceremony, moving to the side for the kiss, etc.) and helped everyone feel so comfortable. She gave clear instructions to the guests and helped make sure that the special moments worked seamlessly. She encouraged our love to shine through and facilitated an absolutely gorgeous ceremony. Our guests are even still talking about how amazing the Rabbi was and asking where to find her. Rabbi Noyo made our wedding exactly the way we wanted it to be, and I know she will do the same for you. Hire her! You will not regret it :)

Rabbi Brent Chaim Spodek

5.0

Beacon, NY
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $3,600
  • Serves Connecticut

It’s not 1952 anymore - nobody is scandalized that people live together before marriage, and thankfully, nobody is getting married because single women don’t have economic agency. So what does it mean for a modern couple to get married? We often think in terms of things we won’t do: we won’t leave, we won’t stray. Those are minimum requirements, not aspirations. The question of marriage is what will you do when - inevitably - love feels distant, and you are hurt or disappointed? I work with couples of all faith backgrounds who are as serious about their marriage as they are about their wedding and are ready to address that question.

Working with Rabbi Brent was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. When we first met, we weren’t entirely sure what we wanted in an officiant — and as an interfaith couple, we weren’t even sure we wanted to be married by a rabbi. But from the start, he made us feel comfortable and supported. As he told us early on, working with him isn’t just an investment in your wedding — it’s an investment in your marriage. We genuinely looked forward to our sessions with him, and to the conversations he encouraged us to have between them. Writing a ketubah felt intimidating at first, but he made the process meaningful and surprisingly manageable. And when it came time to shape our ceremony, he was endlessly flexible, helping us think through which traditions felt true to us and which didn’t — always meeting us with thoughtful guidance and perspective. And then came our wedding day. Rabbi Brent was the vendor our guests talked about the most — he led a ceremony that was personal, heartfelt, and clearly rooted in the time he spent really getting to know us. His words reflected a real understanding of who we are and how we show up for each other. We wish there were more people out there who approach this work the way he does — blending meaningful pre-marital counseling with a beautiful, deeply considered ceremony — but the truth is he’s one in a million. We’re so grateful we found him.

Our 2008 marriage ceremony was the best I’ve ever attended (I may be biased). My partner and I created a humorous and meaningful service that fit us perfectly. I want to be able to do the same for you. I am a social worker who is good at highlighting relationships and connections. I’m an attentive listener, and I promise you won’t feel like you’re in a therapy session when we work together. Unless you totally love therapy, in which case, sure, I’ll use my therapist voice. Social workers aren’t usually associated with humor, but I assure you, I am hilarious. I'm also calm, organized, thoughtful & fun.

Josie was amazing from the moment we met her up until our wedding. She was super thorough & clear about how she went about getting to know us/ our story and she did a phenomenal job at our wedding. Our guests praised her & we got so many compliments on her delivery. I’ve been to a lot of wedding where the ceremony feels long winded and rehearsed & I was so nervous about my own wedding being that way, but Josie was the complete opposite, she was funny & sincere and did a great job at being a mixture of both and adding her own flare to the ceremony as well. I’d recommend her to anyone, thank you Josie!

I’m excited for you, and I hope if you're planning a Long Island or New York City wedding, that I can be a part of your very special day. I like to describe myself as a somewhat old-fashioned, minister – someone warm, helpful, caring, and professional. Not somebody weird. I usually meet with you to get acquainted and develop important chemistry – and to discuss all the details so that we avoid any unpleasant wedding day surprises! The content and style of your ceremony is shaped by who you are and what you want. We discuss all the details so you know what to expect, and I know what to do. It's your day. Let’s make it great!

Pastor Bill was an excellent officiant at our wedding, and we are so happy we asked him to officiate our ceremony. Soon after contacting him, he asked us to sit down for a video call so we could get to know each other. After learning a bit about his background, his outlook on religion and spirituality, and his general style as an officiant, we thought he was a great fit for us. Once we agreed to have him as our officiant, Bill gave us an overview of a sample ceremony with many options ranging from very religious to very casual, including options for personal vows and cultural traditions. He was totally willing to help us craft a ceremony that felt authentic to us, and provided very helpful feedback and advice on our draft until it was perfect. On the wedding day, Bill arrived at the venue with time to spare. He was well versed in the process of signing the marriage license and walked us through it. At the ceremony, he spoke loudly, clearly, and with a warm expression. And he stayed for the cocktail hour and spoke with some of our guests, who all told us they enjoyed his conversation. Many thanks again to Pastor Bill, and we hope this serves as our highest endorsement!
