The Ruins at Sassafras Museum is the home of the former Shaker Second Family on Mount Lebanon. (See our reviews on Google.) We call ourselves a boutique museum because unlike other Shaker Museums that replicate the past, we have interpreted the past and creatively restored each location on the property. Cricket Creek Farm can provide space for weddings and other events for up to 300 under tents and 150 in our renovated barn. Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

We host just 12 weddings each year (May–October), each reserved as a private, three-night experience. Your stay includes on-site accommodations for up to 12 guests, along with full access to the barn and grounds. Weatherhead Hollow is best suited for couples who value time, flexibility, and ease – and who want the freedom to shape their celebration at their own pace. Our family has farmed this land in Albany County, NY for over two hundred years and we would like to share this beautiful property with you for your special day.
