They helped run the whole day, they got the guests seated, kept everything on schedule, and ensured that Ben and I didn't have to worry about anything. When our flowergirl got stage-fright right before walking down the aisle, Jerry swooped in to save the day and helped her find her mom. We initially didn't plan to do a grand entrance into the reception, but Jerry and the DJ (Megan from Music that Moves) made one happen last-minute so our flower girl could have a second shot ar throwing her petals. You're not just getting a venue at Parkway, you're getting a whole team who will make your event run smoothly. If we ever do a vow renewal or anniversary party, we will be back!

Our wedding was beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or venue. The castle was a stunning backdrop for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Meyer’s Castle and each piece came perfectly together. The newly redecorated bridal suite is gorgeous and my bridal party and I felt like royalty getting ready. The florals and gardens were stunning and there is an Instagram worthy photo spot around every corner. Our coordinator, Eva, did a great job setting up all of our decor and was very communicative throughout the planning process. Eva and the MC team accommodated everything we wanted to include on our special day and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding. Everyone loved the food and even loved the table wine, numerous guests took photos of the wine so that they could buy a bottle later on. We are so glad to have started the rest of our lives together after saying “I Do” at Meyer’s Castle; surrounded by family, friends, and 2 beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds.

She provided great recommendations for other vendors to work with and really helped us bring our vision to life. The venue itself is so intimate and cozy, with beautiful natural lighting that made our photos look stunning. We loved being able to host our ceremony outdoors on the terrace - it was the perfect backdrop for our fall wedding. The reception space felt so warm and inviting for our 90 guests, with an authentic Chicago loft feel that was exactly what we were going for. Loft Lucia truly exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful to have celebrated our special day in such a beautiful space. Wildman BT is a great, unique space in Chicago for a wedding! Michelle, Valentina, and the Wildman BT team were great at bringing our vision to life. My husband and I wanted to host a cocktail style reception. Neither of us had been to a wedding like this before but Wildman BT helped us decide on chair counts, station placement, and floor plan layout to encourage the vibe we were going for. The Barrel House was everything we wanted for our wedding venue. The space comes already decorated with barrels lining the walls and lighting that transitions easily from cocktail hour to dance floor. Lisa and the Goose Island team were attentive and worked so well with our other vendors to make sure things go smoothly. The provided valet parking was appreciated by guests who drove and saved another possible headache. The library section provided the perfect place for those who needed a break from the dancing. Everyone was so impressed with the space when they crossed through the doors.

The staff was amazing and the food was so good. The manager and service staff made sure we always had a drink in our hand, gave us space to chat and connect with our families and made us feel right at home. My mom has a food allergy, but they made a single dish for every course that she could eat and warned her when there was a dish that might cause issues. They made sure all of our family felt taken care of, which was so special to me. The food is top notch. Lasagna and risotto are definite highlights, so don't miss those!

The Stan Mansion was a beautiful venue to have a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Cera, the owner of the mansion will give you a list of vendors that work weddings at the mansion all the time together so you can trust that you are in good hands and that the vendors that you choose will know their space and know what they are doing. The bridal suite was extra fun to get ready in! It also gave you a nice space to take a quiet break, if needed. Cera and Kathy were welcomed us to come see the venue as many times as we needed. The mansion is beautiful and you will have a beautiful event there.

We wanted our wedding to feel fun, relaxed, and centered around amazing food—and BiXi Beer was the perfect fit. The upstairs atrium gave us a beautiful indoor/outdoor space for our ceremony and the cocktail-style dinner we had for our 98 guests made it feel like a laid-back party with delicious food and amazing drinks at every turn. Our guests loved the food—many went back for seconds, thirds, even fourths—and we’ve heard nothing but rave reviews since. The cocktails were fantastic (special shoutout to the last-minute espresso martinis!) and the house beer, of course, was a hit. We also loved that they offered late-night bite options. We also love that BiXi is a real restaurant—so that we and our guests can go back and relive the flavors anytime. And the location in Logan Square made it easy to keep the celebration going afterward at nearby spots like The Owl and Federales. Big thanks to Jordan, the event coordinator, who made the whole planning process so easy and enjoyable. BiXi truly helped us create a night we’ll never forget and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Intimacy is hard to achieve in a venue and nowadays with the crushing oppression of minimalism, even more difficult to find. What I love about Lou Lou is that it has all of the necessary staples of a well run restaurant but none of the chaos. The decor is warm and welcoming, the tables are a pleasant lighter wood that invokes a bright memory of sitting in the kitchen of the cool aunt. Textured pieces of art and pottery grace the walls and delicate white curtains frame the front windows to give the diners privacy. I love that I can see the chefs working diligently behind the counter and that the flow of the space draws your eye down the line and to the cute little stage in the back. This could be used for a jazz trio, a sweetheart table or an emotional speech at a rehearsal dinner. Regardless, the space is unique and I am certain, will become as precious to the community as it is to me and my family.

They helped us build out our day of timeline and helped so much with last minute items that came up. We had no clue who to choose as a caterer & it was great that their team requires you to work with one of their preferred caterers - we could not have been happier with the caterer we met because of the Fairlie. My husband and I were looking for a wedding venue for our June wedding and stumbled on this location based off other Zola reviews and we are so grateful we did. The venue is absolutely beautiful. Its everything I wanted in terms of it being and open rustic vibe. We added very little decor to the space because the space is beautiful in its own right. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and the patio space. We had both our ceremony and reception here. Jen was a joy to work with. She was super responsive easy to communicate with and answered revert single question I had. Would highly reccomend if you’re looking for a beautiful open ceremony/reception space. You will not be disappointed.

It was loaded with helpful resources, making planning a breeze. Walden provided us with much more than a beautiful venue. They gave us an incredible planning experience and an amazing team that felt like family by the time the wedding arrived. The entire wedding party and all the family members who were there the entire day of the wedding had nothing but amazing things to say too...they were all shocked at how much support we had throughout the entire day to the point where we did not have to lift a finger. And don't even get us started on the food and bar...we've never been complimented more in our lives. We were shocked at how insanely good the food and drinks were at our tasting party months before the wedding, but we were curious if it would live up to the hype on our actual wedding day where we had 216 guests. It might've been even better on our wedding day! Guests were raving about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, bar none. We even had sober people come up to us and go on and on about how amazing even the mocktails were. The only thing we regret is being too excited and not having enough of an appetite to truly enjoy dinner as the bride and groom. But even so, our planning team made sure the servers packaged up our entrees so we could take them home a few days later when we came back to the venue to pick up our belongings. Honestly, there are a million other reasons why we'd recommend Walden for your wedding venue, but this is already getting to be too long of a review. Basically, if you’re looking for an all-inclusive venue where you’re genuinely taken care of every step of the way, we cannot recommend Walden highly enough! Thank you, Kalila and Ally, the entire bar/service staff, and truly just everyone at Walden for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more! Golden Years Chicago was the perfect venue for the welcome party on our wedding weekend. From the moment we first contacted them, their communication was prompt, friendly, and flexible - exactly what we were looking for. On the day of, their staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. They allowed us to play our own playlist, use our own custom cocktail napkins, and were even able to add more food options for our guests. Our guests raved about the delicious cocktails and great appetizers, especially the pizza from Dante's. Golden Years left a great impression on our guests, especially the out out of town guests, and everyone had a wonderful time. We would highly recommend Golden Years Chicago for any special event.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

Royal Palms has always held a special place in our hearts. At the beginning of our relationship, I joined a league with my now-husband’s best friends. Shuffleboard (and Shuffleboard Bobs) brought us together, and they welcomed me into the group. We were league regulars and made some great memories, even though we rarely won a game. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted an untraditional wedding experience and were so excited that Royal Palms was willing to host us - their first wedding! Their events coordinator, Taylor, was just as enthusiastic and worked closely with us to plan an incredible event. We walked down a shuffleboard aisle on the roof while the Blue Line passed behind us, making for some incredible photos. Captain Scott gave our guests tutorials while they ate Big Star tacos from a truck and drank amazing cocktails. The energy was incredible, and it meant the world to us to see our families and friends connecting over rounds of shuffleboard. Hosting was easy - the space is already so beautiful that we did not bring in any decorations! No flowers or linens needed. Catering from a food truck was fun and unique. The photo station was fully stocked with props. The AV equipment was ready for a DJ and we kept our custom playlist bumping all night. The bartenders kept energy high and drinks flowing all night (truly the best bar in the city, in my opinion!). We danced and ate and played for hours. Our guests still talk about this night to this day. It was a party to remember, which is exactly what we wanted. Even better than the wonderful memories, pictures, and stories is the fact that we can go back whenever we want to relive the night. Even after two kids, we still make a point of playing a round of shuffleboard every year on our anniversary - it will be 6 years this fall! We cannot thank the Royal Palms staff enough for working with us. They are high-energy and fun, and they are also professional and take their clients’ experience very seriously. You would never know ours was their first wedding - they had every single detail covered, resulting in a seamless night. I look back on that night with nothing but happy memories. I wouldn’t change a single thing!

This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!

We toured Salvage One on a weekend among 10 other Chicago venue tours and we instantly knew it was the place we wanted to get married. (So instantly, that we ran out of our last tour to go sign our contract and secure our date that day!). It met and exceeded all of our expectations on the day. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and Colleen and her team are so responsive and helpful. The ceremony space is so beautiful and allows for a truly cinematic experience walking down the aisle. For the reception area, being able to leverage the antique tables (and bonus: not having to rent linens!) gave everything a perfectly cozy touch, and we partied under the disco ball all night long. We received compliments all night long on our venue choice and overall cannot recommend this location enough.

My husband and I got married at Beatnik back in October this year - and after the experience we had, we knew we had to write a glowing review! Truly - from the time we first met with Cassandra (who was our point person from the beginning) Beatnik flawlessly planned and executed every detail of our dream wedding. After the wedding - the biggest thing that every guest said to us over and over again was " first, what incredible venue and also - the TEAM THERE, wow!" We couldn't agree with them more. We also had all of our friends with food allergies let us know how taken care of they felt by Cassandra and the venue, many of them mentioned that they've never had that level of care taken to make them feel so calm and special about more challenging dietary restrictions. Cassandra truly felt like a fairy godmother throughout the entire experience with Beatnik. She was so thoughtful, helpful, kind, and professional.
