The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.

Hi, my name is Iso, one of the founders of Forage Kitchen. Since 2017, our mission has been to support Oakland entrepreneurs by providing kitchen space, promotional help, and event organization. To support that mission, we rent our space throughout the year for weddings, corporate events, and parties of all kinds. Our space offers a full commercial kitchen, great outdoor space with overhead lighting, and most importantly, a fully stocked bar! With seating capacity for 160 and standing room for 230, it’s great for events of all kinds, and live music is always welcome!

Our 3000 square foot space is located in the historic Cotton Mill district of Oakland. Just off the 880 freeway, Flowhouse is located just east of Brooklyn Basin and directly opposite the Embarcadero Cove pier. We have two beautiful dance studios that can be used for dancing as well as dinner set up. One studio can also be used as dressing room area. We also have a beautiful living room and lobby area that can be used for a buffet set up, receiving area, and cocktail area.

In 1994, Just Dance Ballroom began its operation near Downtown Oakland with the vision to spread the love of dance to many and all. Over the decade, the Just Dance Ballroom family grew bigger, and thus, the dream to relocate to a grand space came to fruition on September 16, 2006. Since then, Just Dance Ballroom has shared its halls with dancers, entertainers, family, and friends from all around the world. With 26 years (and counting) of experience under its belt, Just Dance Ballroom is proud to be considered by many to be the destination for dance and entertainment in the Bay Area.
