He went out of his way to make sure that the violinist that I hired had everything that she needed to be able to perform. Even though we hadn't included the additional setup in the original quote, he gave it to us as a wedding gift. He was on top of all of the songs. Not once did I turn around and feel like he had left his station. He was managing the photo booth phenomenally while also providing every song that we had requested on time and with an enthusiastic behavior. He kept the crowd excited. He knew the right times to change the music and he was absolutely hysterical by joking around with our guests and even being playful when introducing key songs. He really cares about his work and the service he provides. He goes above and beyond to make you feel special and taken care of and is someone I would hire for any event that I throw in the future. I had a phenomenal time working with him. I will say don't be stressed if he doesn't respond to your text messages. He is definitely somebody that will answer a phone call more often than a text. But nevertheless, he shows up and provides incredible service with a smile and I couldn't have asked for our event to go any better. He really really did a great job. Just make sure that you put everything you want in his app because he uses that to make sure that he does what you're asking of him. All of your comments all of your needs. Any specific songs you want played are all in there, so be sure to stay on top of that so that you can guarantee a wonderful experience like I had. I can't say this enough. Hire him. We really wanted a DJ that felt different, less cheesy, that could help us create a vibe of a house party with all our friends versus a wedding ballroom. Luckily for us, he had plenty of experience with our venue and we quickly realized Tiger would be one of our vendors we didn’t have to worry about. He played vinyl during our cocktail hour, helped create the most seamless ceremony, added personal touches as our MC, and gave us the greatest dance floor we could have asked for. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

“Before choosing Makai, my partner and I watched videos of at least a dozen DJs. Based on the energy and interactions we saw from Makai, we knew he was the one for us and our wedding day. From our first video call with him, we knew we had struck gold. What was meant to be a one hour zoom call turned into three hours of laughing and sharing stories as if we were old friends who had been separated by time. Makai was patient at every step in our process. He came prepared - he provided us a very helpful packet which enabled us to better organize our event. My partner and I did have many of our own ideas, and Makai graciously worked with every single idea of ours. When our ideas were incomplete or needed tweaking, he came up with creative solutions that incorporated our wants and his experience. After getting off our zoom call with Makai, my partner and I shared a big sigh of relief. In months of planning, most things had been stressful, but working with Makai felt almost too easy. We were very well taken care of. On the day of our event, Makai was early. Makai generously helped with things that were not at all his responsibility. Makai was loved by our guest; he contributed to a great vibe. At our request, Makai helped us stay on track for the whole event, and because of that, everything continued smoothly throughout the evening. Every time I looked at Makai, he had a beaming smile on his face. Even while continuing to enjoy the festivities, Makai’s music was on point. Amongst a handful of other vendors who were also awesome, Makai stands out because his contributions to our day were so impactful. I can’t recommend Makai enough.”

“We hired Bob Gail's dance band "Higher Ground" for our wedding last month at the Bel Air Bay Club. Having a live band at our wedding was always my dream but admittedly not my fiancee's or her family's. Any skepticsim completely evaporated by the time the wedding reception started. Our band--11 pieces, including trombone--was spectacular. I really can't say enough about how fun the evening was with Higher Ground leading the dance floor. We, and all our guests, danced non-stop. From start to finish, the band's song selections perfectly matched the energy throughout the evening. Every member was super talented, with the lead singers perfectly capturing the sound and feel of the original songs but with an energy that is only possible performed live. We were seriously impressed with their sheer versatility, jumping effortlessly between different genres and eras. We also had a few specific requests that the band very flexibily accommodated. We had choreography for our first dance and the band offered to rehearse with us before the reception. We also wanted to play some recorded songs during the band's breaks and they wove our songs into their own set list seamlessly. Bob Gail also offered a very intuitive song selection tool on which we could specify which songs we wanted to hear at the wedding. They even went out of their way to learn a song that was not part of their set list but that they knew we love. The band members were also incredibly friendly and gracious. They felt like a part of the family for the night. Even now, a month after the wedding, we still have family members tell us how great the band was and one guest even told me she can't wait to hire them for her own son's wedding no matter the cost.”
