Having our wedding at Bay Pointe was to put it simply: perfection. We booked our wedding over a year in advance and from the first few seconds that we stepped in for our tour of the venue, we were in love. Mariesa, our sales manager, was so personable and so accommodating. The entire process leading up to the wedding was so efficient working with Madison. She was so communicative and so easy to work with. All of our changes, questions, recommendations, literally everything - she had an answer to! We always felt so welcomed by the entire staff. Our rehearsal dinner at the Bay Pointe Bar and Grill was beautiful and the staff that night were amazing - they made sure we were doing ok, our family was fed and everyone was having a good time. Lauren, our day of coordinator was excellent at her job. She worked so well with all of our vendors and family. We had the BEST time ever. The value is worth the money you spend. A huge thank you to everyone on the Bay Pointe team who helped us along the way and the weekend of.

Our wedding was beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or venue. The castle was a stunning backdrop for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Meyer’s Castle and each piece came perfectly together. The newly redecorated bridal suite is gorgeous and my bridal party and I felt like royalty getting ready. The florals and gardens were stunning and there is an Instagram worthy photo spot around every corner. Our coordinator, Eva, did a great job setting up all of our decor and was very communicative throughout the planning process. Eva and the MC team accommodated everything we wanted to include on our special day and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding. Everyone loved the food and even loved the table wine, numerous guests took photos of the wine so that they could buy a bottle later on. We are so glad to have started the rest of our lives together after saying “I Do” at Meyer’s Castle; surrounded by family, friends, and 2 beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds.

They were so wonderfully accommodating and helpful…to the point where they were weed whacking the night of the rehearsal dinner to help us prepare the photo spots we needed. Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.

My husband and I got married at North Lake October 4th, 2025 and had the most beautiful backdrop to the day. North Lake was incredible to work with and were so accommodating. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the venue was. Dan really has put so much thought behind every detail from not having any curbs or steps making it incredibly handicap accessible to constantly making upgrades that only add to the experience. My husband and I are both huge baseball fans and we got married on a Cubs Brewers postseason game that started at 2pm. The tv in the groom's room was not working and Dan brought a tv from his own home and had it set up in time for the game. Any questions I had were promptly responded to by Danelle and she was so sweet and personable. If you're looking for a venue where you have the control of which vendors to work with while not missing out on the location and luxuries of an inclusive venue I'd highly recommend North Lake.

Fernwood really is a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and their rates very affordable! They were very responsive to my many questions, and very helpful on the day of our wedding. They even let us use an extra classroom for the groomsmen to get ready in. They were also really flexible. You can’t really go wrong here, and the garden itself can be your decor! We also left one item behind by accident which we were able to pick up a few days later. Lots of “areas” to choose from for your day, too. Only complaint was the poison Ivy growing along some of the pathways, which were already fairly narrow. We just used alternate paths and it was no big deal!

Sundance & The Secret Garden was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we reached out, the team was easy, friendly, accommodating and incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. The vintage, romantic, dreamy, boho, and eclectic vibe of the space truly made our wedding feel like a magical, whimsical celebration. They were amazingly helpful in making our seating chart and understanding when we had to do some shuffling around, and the onsite contact was super friendly and easy to communicate with. I truly can't thank Amelia and the team more for helping make our day so special and memorable. She was also incredibly responsive and helpful with assisting in organizing our plans, helping us find places to go for the rehearsal dinner, and other locations since we weren't super familiar with the area. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to work with for our wedding day.

When our initial big wedding plans in another city fell through due to COVID-19, we were scrambling to find a local outdoor venue for an intimate wedding. Nicole responded immediately, and helped us plan our safe, small, intimate, beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. Nicole was so kind, understanding and kept us updated on all state requirements and restrictions as it got closer to our date. And, of course, the venue was absolutely breathtaking. The Kellogg Manor gardens with the backdrop of Gull Lake was the most perfect setting for our dream wedding - we could not have planned for something more magical.

We absolutely LOVED our small wedding at Stonegate Manor! Due to Covid, our wedding day and venue as initially planned were canceled. I found Stonegate Manor four days in advance of our ceremony. Thank you Prudy (the owner) for making it such a beautiful and easy experience! Prudy was extremely accommodating with our requests and the price was very reasonable. Also, they provided a very nice wedding officiant that made the process easy. The property is gorgeous and as a result our photos turned out stunning. Honestly when I tell friends that we found Stonegate Manor four days before our ceremony and they see our photos they are shocked. Thank you!!!!! <3

We are still dreaming of how amazing and perfect our wedding day was at Solarium. The team, with along with 1928 Planning Co., handled everything so well, communicated so clearly, I now want to have a wedding every weekend. Getting to wake up and get ready for the day in the bridal suite was an absolute dream! The ambiance and vibes create a chill and laid back atmosphere, but we still had the classiness of a formal wedding, exactly what we wanted. It truly was the best party of our lives! Side note, but a very important one, their on site Airbnb made getting ready yet staying separate a breeze. No travel for the bridal party of the photographer(s)!

They had no problem guiding us through every detail with genuine care and expertise. The venue itself is truly idyllic, comfortable, and breathtaking...while still being a rockin' good party. We opted for the wedding weekend package and had our ceremony in front of the mulberry tree. I had every experience I hoped for, it felt like 5 weddings in 1. They were able to make a 150 person wedding feel intimate. It was incredible. There was a POPPING dance floor, frolicking in the gardens during golden hour, and relaxing by the bonfire/ hot tub with our party after the other guests left. The atmosphere of the venue literally felt like healing happened for everyone there. It was so easy to talk to and hang out with every guest, and our friends and family felt safe. We had caterers from different businesses for both the rehearsal and the day of, and used recommended vendors from the site, all of which were stellar. Tons of hotels nearby for visiting family, a bunch of ours went to the Casino afterwards. Decide your wedding day based on this venue's availability, i'm so serious. THANK YOU OTL!!! Forever grateful.
