We had SUCH an amazing experience at Tenaya Lodge! We planned a winter wedding for February and, being from SoCal, it was a bit of a destination wedding for ourselves and our guests. The day went SO seamlessly and the staff were honestly one of my favorite parts of it. Starting with the moment we checked in for the week, everyone from the front desk staff to the waiters at our rehearsal dinner and wedding were so professional, kind, and excited for us. They really added to the experience. The facilities themselves are gorgeous. We got married on the terrace, surrounded by the view of the mountains. My husband and I took a little hike through the grounds with our photographer, it was so fun! Our guests RAVED about the facilities and had so much fun - many of them coordinated family day trips into the park. Some of our classy guests who are used to high end travel were very happy with the service and quality of the resort, restaurant, and bar. Many of our guests were traveling with small children and they also found it a really positive wedding experience - they were able to stay at the wedding all night and the kids had a blast. Some families stayed in the cabins and enjoyed that experience as well. The local vendors are awesome. The only caution I would warn new brides of is to OVER communicate during the planning stage. The wedding brochure is slightly outdated and doesn’t always have complete information. For example, we got caught having to pay an extra 700 to upgrade our meal package to include a third entree after we found out we had more than the allowed number of vegetarians, even though the brochure states that guests on a vegetarian or special diet will be accommodated, and does not state that there is a limit to the number of vegetarian/special diets. I would also encourage brides to use a wedding planner. As a type A person, I thought I could plan the wedding myself. However, the venue hosts many events and the venue coordinator does not always have extra time to really help you plan your dream wedding the way a planner can. Especially if you don’t live locally, you will really benefit from a planner who has worked at the venue before. Overall, we and all of our guests were super happy with our experience at Tenaya and would like to thank all the hard working staff who made our dreams come true!!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at The Pines Resort! Their communication style was clear, quick, and left lots of room for us to get creative in the planning process. The venue itself is gorgeous and all-inclusive, with beautiful minimalist decor that created the perfect backdrop without added stress. Brittany, their phenomenal on-site wedding planner, made everything so easy by connecting us with vendors they frequently work with who understand the venue and their approach. We felt empowered to get creative with alternatives when we wanted to make the day our own. With the venue and planning taken care of, we could focus on each other and our love. After extensive searching, we stumbled upon this place via family friend recommendation. It was perfect! The owners responded quickly to any questions and concerns we had. Not only was the venue GORGEOUS, but we, as well as the wedding party, were able to rent the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. It saved us a lot of stress because our wedding party was all in one place! This also allowed our vendors to set up earlier in the day. We love Red Tail Ranch and are planning on spending a weekend there in the near future!

Deloro Valley is one of the most naturally beautiful wedding venues I have ever been to, without the stuffy and stiff vibes of other venues. It feels like a very liberating sanctuary with a sort of 'adult summer camp' vibe. The team is incredibly friendly and the communication is excellent, responsive and diligent. As a wedding planner, it was rare to have every guest mention the space was hard to leave. They went above and beyond to accommodate requests and make the experience truly unique and special. It's clear how important the happiness of the client is to the Deloro Valley team. Most of my wedding guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. If you are considering this venue for a large event of any kind, know that the experience will hold a place in your guests' hearts forever.
