This is the first and only case in which a client, after receiving the full scope of contracted wedding photography and videography services, requested a refund. At the same time, the client continued to post negative reviews on the Zola platform under multiple fictitious names. We sincerely thank the Zola moderation team for their assistance in identifying and removing spam reviews that violated the platform’s policies. All services outlined in the signed contract were delivered in full and, in several areas, exceeded contractual requirements. The agreement specified: * A wedding highlight film with a minimum duration of 5 minutes * At least 800 professionally edited photographs The client received: * A highlight film with a total runtime of 9 minutes and 17 seconds * 980 professionally edited photographs Seven days after the wedding, the client voluntarily sent the following message: “Thank you again for everything you did for us. You were incredibly attentive, and it was wonderful to watch your creative process throughout the entire evening.” After receiving the wedding video, the client commented that he was satisfied with the videography services, and his exact words were: “To clarify further, videos came out great with balanced camera settings that directly show us side by side of how the event looked vs how it was shot on camera.” After gaining access to the online gallery, the client expressed dissatisfaction with approximately five to six images out of the total 980 delivered photographs. On our own initiative, we provided the client with an additional 180 images beyond what was required under the contract to offer a broader selection for potential future prints. We acknowledge that this expanded set may have included approximately three to five images that would not typically be part of the final curated online gallery. Acting in good faith, the studio therefore offered reasonable solutions, including: * Alternative color-grading styles * Replacing selected images with comparable alternatives from the same series * Additional refinements where appropriate All proposed solutions were declined, and the client insisted solely on a refund, which is not provided for under the terms of the signed contract. All services were fully rendered, and all wedding photo and video materials were delivered. There were no incidents involving raw files, flash drives, or filming equipment; no files were lost, and the coverage was completed on schedule without delays. Therefore, we consider this dispute to concern subjective aesthetic preferences rather than any failure to fulfill contractual obligations. In the interest of transparency, the studio is prepared to provide the complete gallery privately to interested parties who wish to independently evaluate the quality of our work. This client continues to submit negative reviews on Zola under fictitious names. All services outlined in the signed agreement were fully delivered, and in some areas exceeded the contractual requirements. The agreement provided for a highlight video with a minimum duration of 5 minutes and no fewer than 800 edited photographs. The client received a highlight video with a total duration of 9 minutes and 17 seconds and 980 professionally edited photographs. The wedding was photographed by the studio’s lead photographer, whose work is featured in our portfolio. No junior staff members or third-party contractors were involved. The studio does not misrepresent authorship and does not advertise work that does not belong to it. Seven days after the event, the client, on her own initiative, sent the following message: “Hi Ali! Thank you again for everything you did for us. You were incredibly attentive, and it was wonderful to see your creative process throughout the night. I truly appreciate everything you and Iman did, and I cannot wait to see the photos and videos.” After receiving access to the online gallery, the client expressed dissatisfaction with approximately five to six photographs out of a total of 980. In one image, the client objected to a puddle located near a fountain where the photo was taken. In another image, a person was visible in the distant background—an occurrence that commonly happens during live wedding events—despite there being an identical image from the same sequence without that background element. In another photograph, the client objected to a visible shadow on a wall created by a dancing couple and requested that the shadow be removed. However, wedding photography is not studio photography, where multiple controlled light sources are used to eliminate shadows. Wedding photography is captured in real time, often with a single light source, and cannot be directly compared to studio or staged photography. In good faith, the studio offered reasonable solutions, including alternative color-correction styles, replacing selected images with comparable alternatives from the same sequences, and additional adjustments where appropriate. All such proposals were declined, and the client insisted exclusively on a refund, which is not предусмотрено under the terms of the agreement. Timeline of events: The client sent her first detailed complaints on January 5 at 3:54 a.m. Approximately two hours later, at 6:00 a.m.—during non-business hours when our team was asleep and physically unable to respond—she began posting negative reviews on business social media platforms with large audiences. Since that time, the studio has continued to experience public pressure and receive messages from third parties demanding a refund. The services were rendered, and the wedding photographs and video were delivered. The dispute centers on subjective aesthetic preferences rather than any failure to meet contractual obligations. The studio stands by the quality of this project and believes that the final result reflects its professional standards. For transparency, the studio is prepared to provide the full gallery privately to interested parties who wish to independently evaluate the quality of the work.
