A confusing waste of time
I normally don’t go out of my way to write negative reviews, but my experience with this company left me feeling like I should share my perspective with other brides. First, I want to say that Shelby and Terri are great people. I really enjoyed my first consultation with them. I mean, duhh.. That's why I picked them. Their easy-going and confident personalities were a big part of why I decided to book. I’m an easygoing, type-B bride, and I chose partial planning because I wanted to stay involved in my wedding while still receiving hand-holding guidance. Like most brides, this is my first time planning a wedding. For brides who already have a strong vision or only need day-of or month-of coordination, they may be a great fit. But for my specific needs: • planning a Florida wedding from out of state • having a defined but not unlimited budget • needing vendor options that fit within that budget • and needing more structured support because I wasn’t sure where to start …I didn’t receive the level of communication or organization I expected. Over the nine months we worked together, we only had like 2 calls total and 1 Zoom. I struggled to get consistent check-ins, creative meetings, planning direction, and meaningful budget guidance. I was told to communicate my needs more clearly, but when I did, I received more pushback. Many of the vendor recommendations were significantly outside the budget I had clearly communicated, so I couldn't use them and had to source vendors myself, all the way from Michigan. They only wanted to go with their preferred vendors regardless of my budget. Monthly Zoom calls were never scheduled, even months after my request to implement them. Budget creation and management never happened. I never received any solid floor plan or structured design meeting. 9 months in, they said I didn't have access to all of their in-house rentals, which I was led to believe that I would before signing with them.... I mean, the list goes on and on. I am now five months out from my out-of-state wedding without a planner, and based on my experience, I personally cannot recommend them for brides who need hands-on guidance/support, consistent communication, or help building their vision from the ground up. If you do go with this planner, I strongly recommend getting every single detail in writing about what they are offering. Record your Google Meet or Zoom calls if possible, ask for written summaries of what was discussed, and outline clearly in writing the top things you need from them as professional planners (you may be thinking "I need everything!"). Well, that's exactly how I went into this and was left disappointed. I would also consider adding a clause in your contract that outlines what happens if the services promised aren’t fulfilled within a specific timeline. I think at the end of the day, they overpromised and underdelivered for me. P.S. I'm just now realizing that their website photos are only photos from her own wedding, so I'm also not sure how much experience they truly have.

From the very first consultation to the final moment of the reception, they were an absolute dream to work with. These two truly went above and beyond, taking care of every little detail with such thoughtfulness and precision. They effortlessly coordinated all the vendors, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on time. The wedding day itself was flawless, thanks to their seamless organization.
