“High Voltage DJ was the last major vendor we booked because we truly believe music can make or break a party, and we wanted to get it right. Two weeks after our wedding, I can confidently say that the combo of HVDJ and our venue, Swan Lake Caterers, helped us throw an unforgettable celebration! We chose a DJ, MC, and photo booth. HVDJ also provided music for guest arrival, our ceremony, and cocktail hour. Leading up to the big day, Matt worked with us to complete a planning form that helped organize all the details—from the wedding party lineup and processional to our grand entrance and toasts. After our final meeting, we felt confident everything would go smoothly, and it did! We gave DJ Angelo a few must-play songs and shared the vibe we wanted for each part of the evening, but mostly asked him to read the room. He absolutely delivered! The only time the dance floor was empty was during dinner, and even then the music was so good I was singing along between bites. Throughout the night, the team checked in with us and kept the energy high. My cousins even joked that DJ Angelo might owe them new knees from dancing so much! Thorough and genius, and apparently visible to them before you hit submit. Which meant they saw me type things like “Haed pass,” “No thank you,” and “What even is that??” Live. Thankfully, they have incredible senses of humor. They checked in multiple times, did a full site visit, and showed up with a sound team who stayed all night to make sure everything was flawless. They even coordinated our private outdoor first dance with our violinist while sending the music inside to guests — seamlessly. But the reception is where they catapulted into untouchable territory. They don’t just sing and DJ… they perform. Including: * the full, committed N’SYNC “Bye Bye Bye” choreography * A Blink - 182 elder millennial scream-along that transported us back to 2003 * Coming onto the dance floor to hype everyone * Interacting with guests like they’ve known us forever. I don’t dance— and I was on that dance floor all night. Our guests are still texting us about how unreal the band was and we’ve heard “best wedding I’ve ever been to” on multiple occasions. The night flowed perfectly; there wasn’t a single awkward pause or song we wanted to skip. It was a nonstop party with amazing energy. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. And for anyone thinking a playlist and speaker could replace pros like this… trust me, you have no idea what you’d be missing. “HiMotive Entertainment & Photobooth did a great job keeping our wedding reception fun and upbeat. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”
