Planning a destination wedding in Cairo, Egypt came with its fair share of complexities. We had guests traveling from all over the world and were trying to blend three cultures - Lebanese, Egyptian, and American. In Egypt, most wedding planners focus only on décor and receptions, so I found myself struggling with the schedule and flow of logistics beyond that. There were so many moving parts - the ceremony, the bridal party, the reception - and I didn’t have a planner or a day-of coordinator to help me execute the day smoothly. Alex stepped in and became my anchor. She gathered every detail and built an hour-by-hour plan that carried us through the day, from getting ready to the end of the night. That included the procession of the church ceremony, the musical cues, the reception entrance order, the dj song list order, etc. She helped me create breakout schedules to give to each vendor so they all knew what part of the day mattered for them to take part in. Alex brought so much understanding and cultural awareness to our wedding. She respected the way that weddings are done in Egypt, Lebanon, and America, and helped me blend certain moments from each tradition into our wedding. Every special moment flowed. I truly couldn’t imagine how the day would have went without her. She gave me peace of mind, comfort, and support that made me feel extremely take care of on the most important day of my life.

Not only was she extremely timely, transparent, and professional from the start, but she was also super welcoming, friendly and fun to work with. We clicked with Katie instantly, and knew we had to book her for our wedding. Katie understood our vision and brought it to life so seamlessly. She was extremely thorough through every part of the process and literally thought of EVERYTHING. Believe us, there’s something you missed on your list - but don’t worry, Katie didn’t! She also handled our vendors for us - especially the difficult ones. Honestly, we don’t know what would have happened if it wasn’t for her. Our day flowed so well, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Katie and her team. She made us feel like the priority when we were worried about the guests. She handled anything and everything that came up so gracefully - and she still won’t tell us what went wrong! Her main goal is to make sure that the day is perfect for the newlyweds and thanks to her our day was for us. She even took the time to put plates together for us to make sure we ate, or at least had access to food. Believe us, if someone doesn’t put a plate in front of you, good luck getting a bite in - your day is going to be packed. We don’t often write reviews, but Linsey, Leah, and Martina were too incredible to not leave one. Linsey and Leah explained their attention to detail and years of experience that has shaped how they coordinate a wedding and we felt so at ease with their guidance. We got married in July 2025 at the Athenaeum at Caltech in Los Angeles where they’d worked before. Linsey joined us for a session in person at our venue and had such valuable insight. Our best wedding decision was asking her last minute to help coordinate our Indian welcome party of 200 guests and our only wedding regret was not booking them for a longer period! Their swift decision-making and organization was stellar: they printed schedules for our bridal party, caught a huge seating chart snafu day-of and fixed it on their own, used the emergency kit to sew a button that unexpectedly popped off a tux or bribe the ring bearer with a fruit snack, and remembered my veil which I’d forgotten in the rush!! They navigated assertive parents involved with planning with unflustered supervision and knew how to deescalate smoothly. I’ve seen other wedding planners refuse to do many tasks, so I remember being so grateful seeing Linsey help steam my wedding gown on her knees, constantly bring us food and water, and even put all our belongings in the bridal suite at the end of the night together for us to leave the venue without having to pack up - something so often overlooked. Our guests are still raving about how professional, helpful, and kind they were and how seamlessly the weekend was because of them! Most of all, they are kind, compassionate people who know how to get the job done while being a total joy to work with, which is critical as you spend the most amount of your wedding day with them by your side! We highly recommend The Double Knot- booking them was the BEST decision of our wedding.

What is there to say other than without Marissa, there would have been no wedding. Joshua Tree has a reputation of being hot- and April is typically mild. NOT ON OUR WEDDING DAY! 40 degrees with wind chill with a wind SO strong that literally almost nothing would stay up (and it was completely outdoors). This girl jumped in to action and made sure that even with the craziest wind, we still had a *stunning* wedding reception. The flowers were picturesque- matching the venue, the bride and the groom to a T. All the smaller details on tables and the use of various pieces made the wedding pop in ways that as an artist and a bride, I will never forget. The colors, the choice of flowers, being able to jump to fix almost ANY situation on the fly- this girl has a PLAN and then she has at least 4-5 more in case those don't work out. She's an expert in all of it because she's been working in the wedding industry for almost a decade- planning, doing flowers, doing CAKES, running it.. the list goes on and on. She's the ONLY person I would ever want by my side for any of this and she made our day absolutely perfect even when everything we had plan for had only one enemy- wind.

I live in Texas but from California so of course I was getting married where I am from due to all my family and stuff. I was so stressed out planning from a distance but the second that Megan started supporting me everything was so much better! Her knowledge and guidance was such a blessing. Where do I even start. My original wedding planned bailed two days before and Bre stepped in and never missed a beat. She got write to work and pulled information and materials together like we had been working together all year. I was able to full unplug which was the best gift of all. When I used to think of wedding planners, I pictured the movie version — someone with a headset, barking orders, and obsessing over every tiny detail (I've never been married, so I literally had no idea what to expect!!) I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! It was truly the best day of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without McKenna’s help! I could write so much more on how incredible Events by McKenna is, but to sum it all up, they are the best choice for your wedding planning and coordinating needs and you will not regret choosing them for your big day!!

Joey is an absolutely beautiful soul to work with. She has the best ideas and helps you stay within your budget and within reason. We had SO much fun getting creative on a dark and moody wedding. She has excellent communication for all the planning process, it felt so good to have someone care about my wedding planning as much if not more than I did. Her expertise shines through in the lead up to the wedding. On my wedding day I didn't have to worry about a SINGLE vendor and I had QUITE a few doing a full build out wedding. Where do we begin? My husband and I cannot thank the Love and Life Events team enough for helping make our dream wedding come true. In the beginning, I believed that I did not need a coordinator because I had already planned out most of the wedding. Boy was I wrong. YOU NEED A COORDINATOR. We were recommended to Love and Life Events team by our DJ and picking them had to be the best decision ever. We got assigned to Dalavy the most amazing coordinator ever. From the very beginning she was super open, honest, organized, and communicated very well. Because I had booked a lot of our vendors already we decided to go with day of coordination which means that Dal and her team would start helping around the 2 month mark. 2 months flew by and we finally had our meeting with Dal. She was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable and my husband liked her as well! Everytime we had a meeting with her I felt so at ease that everything was going to be done, and she always reminded us not to be stressed. She constantly checked on us up until our big day. She made me feel comfortable when we made so many changes to our timeline. She truly became like family. On our wedding day Dal was on it. She always beat everyone before they could ask her something and she truly made the day so much easier. My family cannot stop talking about how amazing she was. From setting up to taking down she was so organized it was so easy to find everything we needed. Our day could not have been as successful as it was without her and Kristy who is also apart of Love and Life Events. My husband and I are actually so sad that our time with Dal and this team is over. We would def recommend her and this team to all our upcoming friends who are getting married. Thank you Dal and Love and Life Events for everything!
