She set me up with a trial with Celeste prior to my wedding and she and Celeste took detailed notes about my vision for my wedding day look. I appreciate that they were both very receptive to feedback which made me feel heard, felt, and seen as a bride. You can tell Catherine/Windy City glam care deeply about their brides and desired wedding day looks. Beyond the trial Catherine and Celeste even gave me recs on lashes to play around with wearing since I was so new to them! I thought I had a lash allergy and Catherine suggested we do a little test on my skin. It was at that point that I learned it was lash glue I was allergic to and not lashes! They made sure to have special non-adhesive glue for me on my wedding day and I was so happy to wear lashes which heightened my look! It is the care and attention such as that, which made Windy City Glam such a joy to work with. Our makeup artist Celeste, did an incredible job on my bridesmaids, mother, and my make up. Celeste perfectly enhanced our natural diverse beauty while ensuring each look was timeless and elegant. She was so kind and patient and I could not have asked for a better artist to work with on a wedding day which can feel a bit nerve wracking. I felt myself and my party were in really good hands the entire time which was such a gift. Celeste really made sure to check in with all of us as she was doing our makeup to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. They were transparent with all costs and fees, responsive to every email, worked closely with us throughout the planning process, and welcomed us for multiple walkthroughs before the big day. We didn’t hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, and honestly, we didn’t need one because the team made everything so effortless. Jenn, our assigned Event Manager, was incredible. She is organized, attentive, and truly kind. Jenn is an absolute pro at what she does and handled everything with such grace, including managing family dynamics seamlessly. The entire day ran flawlessly, and we couldn’t be happier with how smooth everything felt. We also received countless compliments on how beautiful the space was. It’s naturally warm and inviting, and doesn’t require as much décor as many other venues. The food was delicious—everyone loved the Butcher's Block and short rib. “We hired Afterglow Weddings and Events as a day of coordinator for our wedding at the end of March 2025. Olivia started working with us several months before the wedding and was a necessary part of our day. She was very helpful with booking last minute vendors we needed, including live ceremony musicians and party bus rentals. But the day of could not have happened without her. Olivia and Abby, her assistant, kept me sane and had everything taken care of. Our photographers were having issues communicating a specific stance while taking pictures and Abby stepped up to assist in explaining what was needed from the bridal party, which helped me avoid a meltdown. They were constantly checking on my husband and I to make sure everything was what we wanted. Olivia was very communicative throughout the wedding planning process and was very thoughtful the day of, which is essential. She handled all communication with our vendors. We would definitely recommend them if you want to feel calm on your wedding day! We were very happy that they were a part of our day and I had zero worries that day of because of them.”

He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”
